What's with the 'Goober' petition??

First, 'Goober and the Ghostchasers' gets those totally unmerited nominations for the Fancy Anvil Awards. Now we've got 'Put Goober Back On the Air' petition ads flashing from the top of this very Board.

I think somebody is trying to brainwash cartoon fans into believing they want that show! It's an example of Orwell's 'Big Lie' observation; you can get people to believe anything- even something patently untrue- if only you say it often & forcefully enough.

Either that, or an April Fool's joke (I sure hope it's the latter!)

Why is everyone thinking this is a joke? We really love Goober, he isn't as classic as Gary Coleman, but he's close. You can discuss Goober at the Gary Coleman Trading Post.

But the petition was actually successful, even before we launched it! Read all the way through to the end of this Toon Zone exclusive and you'll see that CN is even making new eps of "Goober" to pair with their new eps of Batman Beyond!

April Fools Day is up, as I'd suspected.

I probably would've been sure of it sooner, if I'd gotten an eyeful of that 'Brady Kids' petition first (I think even the people who made it don't want *that* show released on DVD!)
