Question about the Goodfeathers

All us A! fans know about the Goodfeathers and that they are parodies of and from the movie "Goodfellas" with their voices like that of it's 3 stars, Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci, and Ray Liotta. The pigeon that sounds like DeNiro is named Bobby, I get the joke there. The one that sounds like Pesci is named Pesto, I get that joke. But why is Squit, the bird voiced like Liotta, named Squit? The names of the other two sound like the actors, but I don't see how the name Squit ties in to the name Ray Liotta. Can you figure that out, or is it just a case of they were too parodied out to think of a connection? I guess that would be forgiveable considering all the links between those characters and a movie that it's target audience wouldn't be allowed to see for years.

I always figured it was because a "ray" is a small concentration of light, and "squit," while not technically a word, also seems to indicate a small concentration of something, just by the sound of it. Other than that, I haven't a clue.

Useless Fact: in the A! Series Bible, the Goodfeathers' names are Frankie, Joey Z, and Gary. Those would *REALLY* have had people scratching their heads.

It could be just to give the character a silly name...I remember Pesto laughed a lot at him when he learned Squit's name. It might have been just so that they could do that gag. I'm just guessing though.

Maybe it's because 'Squit' sounds like 'Squid'. Squids have three hearts, and Squit...well, he doesn't have three hearts, but he has one big heart.

So why did they decide to put a 't' in?

--it rhymes with "spit", which could be a reference to the famous quote about the American vice-presidency not being worth a warm bucket of that particular substance.
