I think Keilner does what he does becouse he is an idoit, it is as simple as that
Understand of coarse that I'm kinda ticked at the direction Toonami is taking, but to me it seems that some cartoon fans have turned Keilner into the 2nd most evil entity in the Universe (right after the guy who took over the Simpsons after Matt left![]()
)
However, after banging my head into the wall at the changing of Toonami, the downfall of KWB, and the very existance of Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain I have come to a realization. Perhaps, this Keilner guy is really doing what he see's as being a smart thing to do. Yes, he's doing it in ignorance, but honest ignorance is no great evil You know ensuring the continuing of Warner Brothers entertainment (not that I'd ever trust him with any of my story concepts) and stuff. Perhaps looking at him threw this light will help us better cope with some of the stupid (and they are) decisions being made. Anyway, just thought I'd throw you guys that bone.
BTW Yes I am vey much still bitter inside, now I go to suck on many lemons![]()

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions!
Just a clarification on The Simpsons... Matt Groening never "left" it. He created it and wrote a few of the first episodes (you know, the really rough ones that aren't that funny), but for the most part he's always turned over the day-to-day work to others. He's pretty much been just a producer and creative consulstant since day one... a role he still fulfills.

You read it... you can't un-read it!
It is a shame how bland cartoons have gotten. We have watered down action shows and so many cartoons that try to "relate" to us it's driving me up the wall. The same thing happened in the 80's and it'll happen again in 2010 and 2020. It's just that recurring cycle. At least we'll have our recorded episodes, tapes, and DVDs to remember these classics by...

I was wondering why this is? Why do great cartoons come and go so quickly, but the bland and stupid ones thrive and continue to breed like rabbits on a honey moon?
I just get the feeling that no matter what fans like us have to say, these execs will continue to produce cartoons to the lowest common denominator. TV is like that all over, though. Of course, I can say this here, because I honestly believe the members of this board who share their opinions are NOT the lowest common denominator of the viewing public.
