O/T: Who will we be saying goodbye to when the new WBC is up? (ATTN: Toonzone Staff)

I noticed on the WBC page, they say we'll be getting a new staff when the new Club is ready. So, I ask you, Harley, Brian, Colin, Romey, Dick Grayson, Gookie, et al...

Are you all leaving the WBC?

If not, then please explain what you mean by "new staff".

If you are leaving, let me be the first to wish you goodbye. You did a great job running this place, and I hope you've trained the new staff very well.

Probably confusing terminology on the message... perhaps it's our fault as staff for not covering this already... oh well... we'll call it a happy medium...

Anyway, rest assured... no one that is currently on Toon Zone staff will be leaving us. Because of other demands with the Toon Zone site and how busy we've been kept, we as a staff felt it necessary to bring in some "new blood" to bring life back to the WBC... that's what this project is.

I hope this clears up any misconceptions. No one is leaving staff, just some fresh new additions =) Sorry for any confusion this has caused!

Nope. No one is leaving. Everyone will remain a part of the WBC.

But as it is, outside of the fanfics, the WBC has been fairly stagnant for a good long while. We all decided that it's time to change that.

We've grown a great deal as a site and individually and we really can't handle all the sections ourselves. Also, whether we want to admit it or not, over time, we've lost that level of passion we had for it. KWB's changed. They're not showing the stuff we grew up loving. And as time progresses, we find that we have to concentrate on grown up things. Some people even have rent to pay now. The only time we still have to be kids is after that's taken care of.

So, we're handing the WBC site over to the next generation. Vince will be heading up that crew. I believe (and correct me if I'm wrong, Vince) that he's trying to make the WBC more of a fan entertainment portal.

This pretty much means that all comics, animation, newsletters and anything else he puts on the site will be fan-created. Which, if you think about is what the WBC was meant to be before all this Toon Zone stuff happened... a portal for all things fan-created.

I'm pretty excited. I can't wait to see what these guys will do with it.

As for the boards, no one is leaving. The old crew and the new crew will work together on the boards. We're persistent old cusses and we love this place. We grew up here and have no intention of leaving.

We will be adding the new crew to the board's mod section shortly. And we may remove one or two of the old names just so it doesn't clutter the main page, but no one is being removed from moderator status.

If you have any questions regarding WBC changes, ask Vince. If there are any questions past that, direct them to Brian, Colin or myself.

You said it perfectly Harl! We are going to try to be a fan entertainment internet portal and we have a great deal in store for you fans. So please be patient because it will be well worth the wait!

Well, I kinda did leave ... or rather, I just wasn't here for a very long while. Can't help that my job leaves me little time to play online anymore. You guys know if I could be here, I would.
