    SBS: Was KWB Warning Us??

    Like This Thread!
I just thought of this while talking to Romey tonight...

For those of you who saw the Spring Break Special... remember early on, when Elmyra was briefing her "pets" about how she plans on capturing the Easter Bunny? Remember two of the captives... PINKY & THE BRAIN!!!!

Could that have been a sign that WBA was planning on making such a show in the distant future... warning us of things to comee???

    scary to think about... =X

    Don't you people understand!?!

    ::shudder::

Whether or not it was intentional, that's quite a forshadowing of what was to come... =X

Since it's so hard to catch Pinky and the Brain on Nick, I may be asking a dumb question, but do the "Elmyra" episodes ever air on the Nick reruns, or are they to become (thankfully) "lost episodes"? I still remember a particularly terrible episode with an alien and the Brain trying to convince Elmyra that she could grow a bunny tree...ugh.

Well, I've never seen them yet on Nick. I do remember, the one time since the original airing that the Halloween special came on, Elmyra was in the role of Frankenstein. She was looking for a brain (insert joke here), & she pulled out The Brain. Her reaction? "Oooh! I'll play with him later." Me, I wanna have PE&tB on tape. I'm a completionist; I hate One Froggy Evening & One Beer, but I have them on tape.

IIRC, the Tiny Toons "Spring Break Special" aired after "Animaniacs" had been airing for a few months. I remember seeing Pinky & The Brain among Elmyra's pets and knowing who they were. I remember a friend laughing when I told him that I saw the mice there.

I'm kinda doubting that. The A! and TTA are really closely knitted, with much of the same crew. It was just done for the gag, that's all.

As for the future of the trio ... IMHO, the major fault is in the network for wanting to retool the show in the first place. Steven may have a blame in it too, though - he likes Elmyra.

-- Kane ... he's to blame for some of the sappy eps too.

yeah - I remember reading somewhere that Steve had a huge penchant for Elmyra.

Perhaps if if had been a 2-3 part crossover episode then maybe it could have been fun - but a WHOLE SERIES? :P

it really destroyed what made Pinky and The Brain work. It was like that episode where Larry was added out of nowhere and they kept asking "Why on earth do we need a Larry? You have yin, yang, and then larry. It doesnt fit"

    SBS: Was KWB Warning Us??

    Signs.... Signs and Portents...

    Yes, they were warning us.
Be on your guard they said?
    But did we listen?
    Did we listen????

    It's too late now.
P, E & TB has been and gone.
    Will we learn from this?

Dunno, but I kind of liked it.
