Most Underrated Great Game?

My votes are for three games:

Grim Fandango (Best PC Adventure Game Peroid)
Caesar III (The game has some serious lasting value. 6 years since this strategy game was released and I still play it occassionally)
Shining Force II (Second best RPG ever behind Final Fantasy VI. If they would make a 3D Shining Force IV, I could die a happy man.)

Game Boy Donkey Kong. Some may say that it';s just a remake. But it's actually an engaging puzzle game... addictive and ultra-challenging. It's the best game ever made, in my opinion.

Star Ocean 2
The Mana games(FF Adventure, Secret of Mana, etc...) I'm so happy I got a remake of the first one...I still play it even to this day.

And how many of you have heard of...GITAROO MAN?

I agree with Martianinvader on Star Ocean 2*points at avatar*, but I just wanted to add a few more rpgs that didn't even get the chance at popularity due to final fantasy.

You know...I can't really see as Ico even being underrated anymore. Within the past year, I hear more and more about that game, that I really don't think it's as "unheard" of as everyone thinks--not anymore, anyway.

My vote? I've spent alotta hours playing Toy Commander for Dreamcast. I just...really really love that game. Considering I got it for $5 new at Target, I doubt it sold all that well...but damn, if I don't have alotta fun with it (and yeah, I still play it occasionally. I would kill for an update).

Earthbound. One of the most fun RPG's ever. Simply dazzling. It's a shame that the people who have heard of it usually just bash it without even actually playing it. They don't know what they're missing out on.

Bangai-O. Found a copy at Virgin Records when I took a trip to Canada. Probably the best $70 canadian dollars I ever spent.

Ico and Earthbound.

If I had to pick one it would be EB. It came out when RPG's were just getting good, and many overshadowed it because of the hype, but this game matched any and all games. I still remember 70% of the game and If any game deserves a remake it's EB.

~ Gungrave {Yes, it is a short one trick pony. But it also makes for a great stress reliver (and inducer, if yer like me and won't rest until you've unlocked all the bonuses) }, Sly Cooper, and Ratchet an' Clank. I do not play many games. *is ashamed*
