What are the best games for each new console?

    Like This Thread!
I'm really hung up on the "new games are awful" thread so I decided it would be nice to be enlightened by the others of the board. So please name your favorite games for each system (and if you would be so obliged... why you like them). They can be exclusives, non-exclusives, ports, remakes, whatever. Just name 'em and the system they are for.

    okey pokey

ps2-grand theft auto III...the only game i played for ps2 all the way through. so, therefore it is my favorite game

xbox-halo...great multiplayer aspects and it's really fun to do the cheats, such as the "getting the ghost on top of the canyon level" that one was fun as i was the only one who could do it. just give me a sniper rifle and let me go at it!

    gamecube-ok, here we go...
    wind waker
    soul calibur II
    f-zero gx
    super mario sunshine
    ssx tricky
    super smash bros melee
    metroid prime
and many many more. i'm having problems thinking of them all. i have like 20 gamecube games

    gameboy advance-
super mario advance 1-4: excellent ports of excellent games. wish they'd get rid of the stupid mario bros. extra though. that game is crap
golden sun 1 and 2: first ever rpg that i couldn't stop playing for five hours straight
metroid fusion: apparently not as fun as super metroid but still a worthy sequel

    Falcon
Formerly N. Frederick, among a bunch of others.

    Gungrave
    Midnight Club 2
    Metal Gear Solid 2
    Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven
    Soul Caliber 2
    Tekken Tag/ Tekken 4

    Summoner
    Super Smash Bros Melee
    Mario Golf

    Da 'Cube:

    Soul Calibur II
The graphics might not be QUIIIIIITE up to snuff compared to the DC, but the gameplay is as deep as ever, the new characters are fun, and the different weapon options add a lot of extra depth and replayability. Oh, and viva Link, baby!

    Simpsons Hit and Run
I just rented this the other day. Not quite as good as GTAIII or Vice City (from what I've seen of those games), but it's probably as close as us 'Cubeheads are ever going to get-- and let's face it, the Simpsons license DOES add a certain amount of fun factor. (Of course, so does killing and looting, but....)

    Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4
I consider this the best entry in the THPS series yet, but keep in mind that I have yet to play Underground....

    Super Smash Bros. Melee
I'll be honest, I liked the N64 version better, but this one is still plenty o' good multiplayer fun.
    Super Monkey Ball 2
The ultimate party game. Too bad the single-player (which you need to play to unlock the multiplayer modes) sucks so hard....

    Xbox:

    Jet Set Radio Future
    KOTOR
    Otogi: Myth of Demons
    Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind
    Splinter Cell
    Panzer Dragoon Orta
    Gun Valkyrie
    Crimson Sea
    Mech Assault
    Timesplitters 2
Capcom vs SNK 2: Live (I call it that becuase EO= teh sux)
    Soul Calibur 2
    Phantom Crash
    Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance
    Project Gotham Racing
    Buffy the Vampire Slayer
    THPS 2X
Halo (notice how I listed it all the way done here, as if it wasn't the first thing I thought of when I thought of the Xbox. Just saying.)

    GameCube:

    Metroid Prime
    Super Smash Bros. Melee
    Super Monkey Ball

(I just got a Cube and nobody I know has one. The only other game I've played for it is Mega Man Network Transmission which is good but nothing spectacular.)

    PS2:

    Devil May Cry
    Virtua Fighter 4
    GTA 3
    GTA Vice City
    ICO
    Suikoden 3
    Guilty Gear X

(Don't own a PS2 and my friends that have one don't have a whole lot of games for it)
I could deal with trying to process
    Pigeons acting like they're doves
    But not with interference
    From the power lines above
