Dreamcast Hardware Issue.... "Auto Restart?"

Sorry for posting up so many, "My friend says..." posts, but he's got a problem with the Dreamcast I lent him. Could ya help him out?

Hey guys, this is mainly for Keith, but if anyone else with Dreamcast experience can help, I'd appreciate it.

Last night, I was trying to continue my game of Shenmue. I played for about an hour and a half, then saved and quit to make dinner. About 2 hours later, I went to go start it up again, and I'd get about 5-10 minutes in, and the Dreamcast would self-reset. This happend repeatedly. I put in Mark of the Wolves to see if that had the same problem, and sho 'nuff, about 10 minutes in, the puppy self-reset on me.

Do you think it's a problem with dirty optics or something, or is it something else? It happened around 11 at night, so I didn't try to clean it yet.

The internal battery may be dead, or they fried the resister( or something like that, happened to a fried of mine, and hey got a new one and it worked like new)
If when he says "dirty optics" if he means the lens, then why wouldnt he just clean the damn thing!?!? its worth a shoot.

Hope this helps a little.

And is he cant get it, just tell him to go here segas official website. (sega.com) and find the place that says contact,or help,or something like that, then send em an email.

same thing happens to me....im playing fire pro D, and *zap* it shuts off.
but if i just blow inside it and pick it up and shake it around a bit(im not joking*_*) itll work fine for quite a while
