GameCube crahses

I've been having problems lately with my GC not loading games, and while I play Soul Calibur 2, it tends to crash randomly (IE stops reading the disk and just gives up) which is quite frustrating (especially in Weapons Master mode)

is anyone else having thse kind of problems? I've had them beofre, but never DURING the game, once a troubled game loaded, it was fine, not so here.

Is is my SoulCalibur game? is it a universal glitch (like Tombraider, or Matrix) or is it my 1 1/2 year old GC?

I can relate to that. My GC has frozen WHILE playing SC2, but it DID lock up once when I went to play SSMB afterwards. It froze right before the character select screen. Strange. Did Namco do something special with the GC version as far as manufacturing?

I got one of those loud "BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP" errors when I was playing Arcade mode on SC2 for the first time. Fighting Raphael with Link, and Raphael just completely humilated me (hey, it was my first time!) I went to continue, and my Cube just locked up completely. Had to cut the power off--reset wouldn't even work.

That's really only the third or fourth time that's ever happened to me--first was on XG3 (that was cause it was on a sub-woofer though...

), again on Burnout and I believe once on Rogue Leader. I seem to have not as many console problems since my brother imported it from Japan...*shrugs* I'll be buying a second cube once they drop to $100 anyway...

It doesn't happen to me either. It could possibly be a coincidence that both of you got a game that doesn't work on some parts. I've beaten all of weapon master mode, and had no problem whatsoever.

i owned a gamecube from the get-go and the only time it ever crashed or frozen on me was during metroid prime. i still don't know why that happened either

My Gamecube crashed on me while I was playing Rogue Leader, but I think thats because I was trying to get a medal for the Hoth stage, and I kept pressing buttons for the cutscene to end faster, and...

I can relate to all of this. My Gamecube crashed after 6 FRICKIN MONTHS!! It was in perfect condition too. I blame it all on Animal Crossing. Of course my new Gamecube I have had for about a year, and is still in great condition after running Animal Crossing many times on it.

My Cube froze I think twice. Once curing Metroid Prime and another time when I was looking at my calander in Animal Crossing. I'm sure they were just minor glitches, though, because I haven'r experienced the problem since.

I've only had two problems with two games. One with Metroid Prime freezing after an elevator seen, and many times on Robotech in multi player. But both of those are software bugs and not hardware.

Never happened to me yet. Although I get this cool speeded up version of the SSB:M theme song when I'm at the title menu and the character select screen every now and then.

I've actually never had a problem with my Cube. My PS2 has always worked fine as well, which is odd since most PS2s seem to break when you breathe on them wrong.

My Xbox has had a few DDEs now and then, though only on Morrowind and PDO. But other than that, no problems. Either I'm lucky or I take good care of my systems.

I don't have a gamecube but that sucks for the people who are having crashes on theres. Luckly my xbox is fine and has never frpzen up

Mine only crashed once during NBA Courtside 2002. Besides that it's been fine.

That same happened to me once or twice when I was playing Batman: Vengeance the first month or two after I got the system (when it was still $200

), but I haven't had any problems since then. I had been playing for quite a while before it happened so I blamed that and moved on.

Well I can say one thing if I were to have one, a Factory Defect would be the probable cause of these freeze up or even sound gliches, so I'd say that would be the problem to that.

I've never had this problem, and I was one of the many people lined up outside EBgames about an hour before it opened 11/18/01.

well, I took my game to a friend's house and it worked perfectly on her system, so it miught be mine.

I'm gonna exchange the gmae for a new one anyway before I take any measures to repair or replace my GC

I haven't had a problem since I last reported in. I very rarely have problems with my systems and when I DO have problems, they never occur again. I'm no stranger to glitches in electronics. I must have strange energy flowing through me or something.........COOL!
