Gameboy Advance SP
Game Boy Player for the Game Cube
I'm considering buying one of these two, I do have a GBA already but the GBASP Onix color is tempting, and the Gameboy Player is a great thing to play Megaman and Bass on my tv.

I agree. While the SP is better then a regular GBA, technically it's still a GBA.Originally Posted by blee337
The player will let you play the games on your T.V. Not a new concept, but your eyes will thank you. And games'll be easier to play on a bigger screen.
The Uberpug. Because propane's not just for grilling anymore.
GBA player.
Technically the SP. is the same thing as the original. The only thing I found better was the built in lit screen.
Wait...I voted without reading that you already have a GBA. Get the GB player. I'd so go with the SP if you like to game on the go and don't already have a GBA. But the player would be better. Go with the GB player.
Varcraft - The Forever Work in Progress.
Easy answer. GBA Player.
1) It's only $50
2) The games are larger quality and easier to read for games like LoZ or Castlevania
3) No backlight needed
4) I rule you in Puzzle Fighter and steal all your Rupies on the big screen.![]()
go for the player. to heck with that dinky sp crap
seriously, the only advantage the sp has over the original gba is the backlit screen. otherwise it's too tiny for me to play as my hands would cramp up. so, do your hands a favor and go with the player

I'll keep my sights in the poll until the weekend when I'll go to purchase either one.

Get the SP. Actually, you should get both, if you can afford it. But I use my SP much more than I use my Game Boy Player.
see...here's my question. if he already has a regular gba, why shell out the extra 80 bucks or however much it is to get a sp? sure it has the back lit screen, but what else is better about it?Originally Posted by moldorm

I would say get both. The SP is designed alot better then the orginal GBA. I even have a Afterburner backlight in the back of my GBA, but the SP has such a better design. The screen is alot harder to scratch up, the light is better quality, and it is way more compact then the normal GBA. The Gameboy Player provides better picture and sound, but it isn't portable. If you don't play handheld games away from the home often then you should just go with the Player, but if not I suggest getting the SP. I find myself using the SP alot more then I do my Player.
I was going to get the Player, but now I'm going to be getting an SP so I can play Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and the GC edition of Four Swords.
I have to say I love my SP dearly, and I think it's more than a little step up from the original GBA. I could only play my GBA at one place in my house, the only place where I had a lamp strong enough to see it. It still hurt my eyes.
I can take my SP anywhere, with less eyestrain. I was suprised how much more I played it. If you're serious about portable gaming and you find there are a lot of situations where the GBA is impractical, I'd say get an SP.
If you don't want to play games on the go and are just interested in the system's library, then get the player.
And stay out of Riverdale!
