I think Link might win best video game hero of the year, with a big game of his own and another dream battle game who knows whats in store next.

I only have one thing to say.

    DAMN.

I'm not big on fighters, but I feel I'm going to have to get this when it comes out. Link's not hurting that decision at all, either.
My origins have been clouded in mystery... some say that I was once a man, known as Hamato Yoshi. Another tale states that I was once merely a humble pet rat of a man named Hamato Yoshi. For the record allow me to state that both are true... and yet, neither is true. Such is the way of Ninjitsu.

Namco has actually stated that the Cube controller was great for Soul Calibur 2...in fact, SC2 was rumored to be a Cube exclusive for awhile..

Anyway...I'm still so freakin' torn. I want Link....but I also want Spawn...oiy, decisions, decisions.

Link does look good in that pile-driver pic though...

Around 1 1/2 years ago, when SC2 was announced, it has been always multiplatform. Same with Ridge Racer Next.

Personally, the addition of Link makes me want to take a copy of the game, and throw it down the toliet. An awesome game ruined by a crappy character that doesn't have anything to do with anything. Stupid Namco..None of the extras make sense. They should of just added different costumes.

Ah Ok...I didn't know it was always multi-platform. My Bad

As for your comment on Link..can I get a "huh?". Since when is Link "Crappy" and not having anything to do with "anything" ? You should back up your comments before stating such flame material...

I wish people would stop saying this ! The only controls that sucked on GC were technically SNK vs Capcom 2eo. I mean the AC-ism was so hard to use, but that was Capcom's fault. The other fighters on GC have excellent controls.

I just don't see his appeal. And I said "personally", which is what I think. I haven't really enjoyed any Zelda games. And by "not having anything to do with anything" I mean, why the hell is he in this game.

My only response for this is that Soul Calibur is the only fighting game that I use my DC joystick on. I like the control better with the stick than the D-Pad, though DCs D-Pad was much better than GCN's. Just a comment...

This game will rule on any console. The only complain about Spawn I have is where's the cape?!?!?! As for the best control, I think it will probably be on the PS2 version, but who knows, I could be wrong.

This is what I said just a week ago, but now that I think about it more, I think it actually is going to be good with SC2. The GC controller would be terrible with a fighting game like Virtua Fighter 4, where you have to have precise button timing, and have to push multiple buttons at once. The controller just isn't set up for that sort of thing. But, with Soul Calibur, the attacking actions are simpler, and I think the four basic face buttons on the GC controller will work out well.
