Chrono Trigger should be getting a sequel called Chrono Break sometime soon.

I am a DIE-HARD Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross fan! I've played both games from beginning to end(s). But I wonder about Chrono Break though -- how much more complicated can this plot get?

We have time travel. (12000 BC; 2300 AD; etc.)

We have alternate dimensions. (one in 1020 AD where Serge is alive; one in 1020 AD where Serge is dead)

We have alternate realities. (the Reptites were destroyed and primates evolved in one; the Reptites prevailed and evolved in one)

We have alien parasites that can warp time itself while sucking the life energy out of a planet. (Chrono Trigger) When these alien parasites were also given the 'gift' of seeing alternate dimensions and alternate realities as well, it learned to devour time itself. (Chrono Cross)

As it stands, the Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross plot would give even Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking headaches!

What could 'break' in Chrono Break? Maybe all this messing around with the time/space continuum finally set the whole Universe out of whack, and someone has to patch it up again...

I would like them to wrap up the Schala subplot sometime in a future sequel. It's like they were going to do something with it but terminated the plan at the last minute.

I'm still a little pissed about the fact that we don't know what happened to Crono and Janus/Magus.

Okay, here's a question on everybody's ming: who's writing it? I'm personally hoping it's Akira Toriyama myself. I don't really have anything against the other guy (writer of "Record of the Lodoss War" and "Chrono Cross", I can't think of his name right now), but I prefer Toriyama's writing more. Just as long Chrono doesn't go Super Sayjin...

last time i checked, toriyama akira didnt write for chrono trigger. he just did character designs (just like tobal no. 1 and dragon warrior). i may be wrong (im hoping im not, b/c my CT fandom is on the line ), but im pretty sure he couldnt come up with that complex of a story line, given his previous work. although thats just my opinion, i could be wrong. (thank you, Dennis Miller)
