It's Richer Than Bulgaria; Who Cares If It's Fictional?

With a per-capita GNP of $2,266, it rates 77th in the global economy -- between Russia and Bulgaria. But you won't find Norrath in your Rand McNally. It's part of EverQuest Live, a massively multiplayer role-playing game. It may be a virtual world, but the riches are very real -- though it's against the rules, players buy and sell avatars, weapons, and skills on eBay and other sites. The ranking was made by a California State University at Fullerton professor who charted EverQuest contraband prices and the time spent by players creating their wares.
