I would just make a sequel to FF7, Final Fantasy Tactics, Front Mission 3 or many other RPGS I loved and want to see sequels for. Oh and FF7 kicks serious butt so have fun.
Hello again, everyone.Man, it's been a while since I've posted anything substantial here - I blame the Playstation and my own innate weakness for new video games.
A couple of weeks ago, I finally broke down and did something I should have done a long time ago - went to Wal-Mart and bought a copy of Final Fantasy VII. Whew... awesome game. Still not finished with it though (just got to the third CD), so don't spoil anything for me!
Anyway, after playing that game a few times and after hearing about Kingdom Hearts - I got the really wild idea of making a similar game based on Warner Bros. characters instead of Disney ones. The way I'm thinking of it right now, it would be a spoof of RPG games, not a serious moment in the thing.![]()
But that's just my stupid idea, I'm pretty sure some of you guys and gals have better ones. So, how about it? If you could make an RPG game (or if you really are making one), what would it be like? What kind of characters would you use? Any unique twists or ideas you'd put in?
"Pinky, my parents...they're driving me insane!"
"Egad Brain, really? Ooh, well that kinda leaves me without much to do..."

"Doesn't that just beat all..."
buy rpg maker for psx and you can.
I hate myself and I want to die.
I would make an RPG that had to do with bounty hunters. I'd try to put the most interesting types of characters I could think of into the game. They would each have a different weapon. And they wouldn't all be bounty hunters either. I would try to always keep the story upbeat with a lot of action, and adventure. I'd give the plot lots of twists and turns to keep the story even more interesting, and to make you want to keep playing. For gameplay, I would have something were almost everything you do effects the outcome of the story. Like, if you choice this path over the other the whole outcome of the game can change. The battle system will be unique too. I don't know how it would be unique, but I'd find a way. And I might have it take place in space were the technology is really advanced. They can even travel to different worlds to complete their mission or catch a bounty head. I'd also try to make my game as unique as possible, so unique that people would instantly become hooked.
I'd like to see another "Chrono Trigger" game done by Akira Toriyama myself. As for the one I would do, I'd either do a "Tenchi Universe" (mainly because it would have to have Kiyone in it) or an "Invader Zim" one.
I have a actually tried to create a RPG. I have the story and dialouge almost finished and I also have the battle system fine tuned and finished. I just have to add the extras stuff like side quests and stuff.
The Story:
The story is about a girl named Zaria (complete with green hair, the way I like my women). She is a botan which is a bounty hunter that uses magic. The magic in the world is based off of magic from various mediums (PSX Final Fantasies, Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, DBZ, Pokemon, basic Psychic abilities, and stuff I created). She originally learned her magic abilities from the School of Magic (Tentative Name). She lived there, as she was an orphan. She has a rival named Darien who is a Vegeta type character who has a weird fixation with Zaria.
Through a clever twist of events, Zaria goes from being a normal botan, to saving the universe.
Actually, this story was originally a comic book/story idea that I'm working on. But I can revise the story so it can end in one plot rather than go into multiple sagas like the comic book does.
Battle Engine:
I made the battle engine based off of the Final Fantasy battle system. That includes having weapons and armor that increase various stats. Also having various stats affect the attributes of the characters. The battle systems becomes very elaborate, but it works. The only thing is that I may have to change some parts of it because the weapon/armor thing really doesn't fit into the genre of the story.
Trust me, making an PRG from scratch is a very hard task. You have to make a story, create events in the game based off the story, make siginificant enemies for the story and for you to battle, create a battle system, make a character system which is sometimes vital to the battle system (as the case with FF8) and a whole lot of other stuff.
I'm making this RPG in my free time at school so I'm not devoting significant amounts of time into it. But it does take some time. Someone on the internet once made an RPG and he's proud of it, so its very rewarding.
This has been Dark Spider....
