    Playstation 1 Websites?

    Like This Thread!
Can anyone list me off some great PS1 (or is that PSX?) websites. Also, how much does a memory card cost? Apparently I need one...

I got two PS1 memory cards for $10 at Walmart. If you want one for PS2 it'll probably run you about $35.

As for websites, my favorite is www.gamefaqs.com It has every game for virtually every system listed, and for each game there are reviews, walkthroughs, and a message board.

GameFaqs is good, but, if you want reviews (that you can view for FREE *looks in IGN's direction*) go to GameStop.com...

Memory cards, like Web Head said, are realtively cheap (for PSX). You can get a USED 3rd party one for like $5.....

Ignore Birdboy, most of IGN's reviews for PS1 games are free but the newest ones aren't.

Gamestop is a good website too, plus Great Britian's #1 gamesite gamesdomain.co.uk (I think) is great also!

Gamefaqs.com is the best one, you should register there and ask some more on the PS1 message boards. I never post there anymore, I post on the PS2 board.

I suggest GameSpot. I visit the site on a daily basis and find it to be the best online sorce for video game information.

If you get a 3rd party memory card make sure it's an officially licensed card. Just look for the PlayStation logo.

IGN or Gamespot are both great places to go.

By the way, have you been warned about the memory card mess? On a PS2, you can only use PSOne cards for PSOne games, and PS2 cards for PS2 games. No swapping between the types. Odd, eh?

Well a PS1 card is 122 KB and a PS2 card is 8000 KB. Just getting a game on the PS1 card wouldn't be easy and you would only be able to fit one game anyway. It'd cost alot more using all PS1 cards on PS2 so that's one instance where backwards capable isn't very useful.

So I won't have any problems getting a PS1 game on PS1 memory card.

And thanks for the links - got anymore?

I stopped looking for video game site after I came across Gamespot. They've got everything you could ever need.

Yeah - I like to keep well informed on many aspects. You should see my favorites list, close to 150 sites. All of them are a mix of comic book, cartoon, movie, television, music, dvd, news, etc....sites. I like to cover as much ground as possible. Gamespot is very, very awesome, though!
