Is it worth paying $40 when it can be bought for only $12 on the Wii or $10 on the DS?

Or free by downloading the original?

Bah, in my mind Cave Story was meant to be a homage to 8 and 16 bit platformers and the original game is the purest way to play it. Plus it's free!

I'm all for indie developers getting some rewards for their efforts, but I wish it would come in the form of big companies hiring them to develop new games exclusively for these console platforms, instead of remaking a freeware game and making people pay for it.
