For those that liked the first game, you'll be happy to know that Cole is back. And like the first one, your actions will also have a big impact on the story. Do you go heroic, or would you side with the villain? It's all up to you (the player)

Demo is cool, I played it after a long download( why are demos so huge anyway? Seriously the install is always the same size as the actual games ) and liked well enough. I liked the first game but it had several shortcomings and the feeling I got from the demo is that fixed some but still didn't address others.
It seems a little less sticky then the first game but it's still there a bit. Melee is marginally better but it still feels like it lacks muscle and the camera can do some crazy stuff but it is more useful and dynamic than the first game. The in game cut scenes are much improved with smooth animations and good camera work and the comic style cutscenes still look great. There's already more variety in enemies in the demo than there was in half of the first game, hopefully there are even more enemy types. New Marias looks cool but it still kind of has that empty feeling that the first one has as the NPCs don't do a lot and there's almost no sound when you aren't fighting except the pitter patter of Cole's footsteps. Powers are still cool but obviously the demo only really had two new powers in the levitation( which is great ) and Ion Storm( Not as cool as the big lightning strike from the first game but still cool ) that it could show.
If I had the money I would still buy it but I think I'll have to wait to purchase this one.
My only complaints about the first one were some of the areas being a little glitchy, and having only three supervillains to fight. I'm hoping for some more boss battles, as Cole deserves a decent sized rogues gallery. I can't wait to pick this up so i can see what new powers you can do; as well as the story twists this will no doubt have.

I like that they give you a little boost when you start to glide. Really helps.
Also like the Bayou music.
I'm not too excited about the barrage of missions like the last one (at least the people's face models are a little easier on the eyes now and not so putty-like), but I'll still pick this up because I've been dying to see how they're going to continue the cliffhanger. Also wondering how much canon the comics have because from some of the synopsis I've readbig spoiler from first game:
2010 Completed Game List
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth; God of War III; Final Fantasy XIII; Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots; Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney; Grandia; Castlevania: Symphony of the Night; Power Stone; Power Stone 2; Dino Crisis
I got mine pre-ordered at Best Buy, mostly because I absolutely hate Cole's design and wanted the Kessler skin to use instead.
In the demo, did anyone else lift a car with telekinesis while standing on it...and wished they could make it go? As in, actually use the car as a hoverboard or something? That would've been awesome.

I bought it this week, and am still on the beginning. It's pretty cool so far. I didn't think that The Beast would be a giant, but I'm not surprised. I wonder if he's going to be the final boss or if some last moment twist will happen. The online missions are good so far too. Though I have to note that they are all by Sucker Punch so far. I haven't seen ones by other users yet.

Infamous 2, the game that asks the following question: What if porno films used video games titles as a source for punny titles? (while the link may be NSFW, it's nowhere near "too naughty to post here").

@Kindness King: They almost surely won't show up for a while as in LBP.
Hmm, I like it bit I am a bit disappointed as I expected more. Still I've continued my Hero game from the first got some nice bonuses though I was annoyed that they depowered him (which they have to do). I was a little thrown off by the different control scheme compared to the last one because it's so similar but with only a few differences. I've gotten pretty far in the game and gotten most of the powers though there are some expensive ones left to get.
What I don't understand (because my only exposure to the universe was the games) is why the city even exists as it does. I get that it's a NOLA/Katrina thing, but I don't get how the government let the militia guy get into the position he occupies in the first place. The fascist stuff makes me wonder if at the history of the world between Kessler's arrival in the first game and the present. How divergent is it? Because it seems a very different world by the early 2000s. I am QUITE annoyed at how the powers were split up. There are some combinations I really liked to use that I couldn't and there are more annoying enemies this time around. Also a HUGE thumbs down on Cole's model and new voice. Serious downgrades on both fronts.
There are improvements and steps backwards. I'd give the game a 7.5 out of 10 at best.
ED: It's making fun of the games? I thought they were friendly homages to games they liked. If they don't like Assassin's Creed it's because the climbing in Assassin's Creed reminds people how silly the Infamous climbing mechanics are.

I dunno about you guys but I'm enjoying my game. I like how well refined they made the gameplay, the inclusion of the Amp makes for more exciting melee combat (although it's still wonky), and overall it's still a relatively swell game to pick up and play. Cole has become less annoying, and now he no longer has much of a *****face like he did in the first game.
Small nitpick though... The people of New Marais are not very bright. They like hanging around injured in groups, stand gawking at a ticking time bomb, like driving while big monsters attack, and overall don't seem all too smart in the head. But then again I guess that's the South for you. *rimshot*
Well, Best Buy decided to be a jerk and not give me a Kessler skin despite my pre-order ticket clearing stating I got one. First they claimed it was in the box, but that was in there was the Uncharted 3 beta. Then they say I needed to pre-order the Hero Edition, but again, the ticket claimed I didn't have to. Finally, they said the vouchers were first come, first serve, and I should be happy to have the game. At this point I argued that if that was the case, there was no reason to pre-order there at all. Thankfully, despite the opened copy, I got my money back.
More annoyingly, I hear from people who were lucky enough to get theirs that it seems I was either supposed to get my voucher from the cashier when I first pre-ordered it, or have it emailed to me after (and they had my email address). Of course, I wasn't given anything but a receipt (which only had codes for surveys), and no one there could tell me that it was an email thing.
