A new Kirby title for Wii was recently revealed at some sort of investor's meeting at Nintendo. It. Looks. AMAZING.

It also bears a resemblance to a certain cancelled title for Gamecube.

    "Surprise!"

That was the vibe I got when I heard about this game. This also makes me wonder if Kirby's Epic Yarn was a meant as some kind of "distraction" or something (totally unlikely, but you never know).

In any case, this was completely unexpected. There's even a gameplay video here. It's small though. Still, I'm pretty excited about this game. I bet we can expect a formal announcement later; E3 at the latest.

From what I heard Epic Yarn in the first stages of its creation was going to be a new IP but Kirby just got put into it for whatever reason. I'm glad Nintendo hasn't forgottan Kirby for a long time it was starting to feel like Kirby was going to become a dead franchise.

I never thought this would ever come back! Man, I can't wait to try this one. Been waiting too long.

Here's hoping it's better than Kirby 64, which this seems to be a follow up of.

    That's... that's a big sword.

Cowboy Kirby looks fun, too. Wonder if there's a connection between this and the recently announced DS title.

    Oh woah wow. Want.

I'm surprised that we get footage of another Kirby game so quickly. I'll take it, AS LONG AS IT'S NOT TO KEEP OUR MINDS OFF OF SKYWARD SWORD. I'm watching you, big N.

There's a super large grin on my face right now. I can't wait to see who the main villain is.

It seems a little too early for a new Kirby game again but this does look like fun. Especially what looks like Cowboy Kirby in the video.

Oh My Pork! A new Kirby game coming out for the Wii. One of my favorite characters is finally getting his own game, rather than being in game that was supposed to be a new IP. Watched the trailer and it was amazing. I kind of liked the big sword, the fire dragon, and the Cowboy Kirby.

That was a nice preview. I would love to get my hands on true Kirby game, and that one looked pretty intense.

Maybe in the future there would be two kirby games to be working on, a tradition 2D platforming, and the yarn style seen in Kirby's Epic Yarn. Kinda like we see a tradition Mario game and the 3D world setting.

This thing's still alive? Awesome. I thought it had ended up as Kirby's Epic Yarn. Bring it on.

Lookit those sweet graphics. Kirby's Epic Yarn is cool, but THIS is the Kirby game I've been waiting for all these years. New forms, upbeat music, awesome new moves, the works. Give it a healthy injection of challenge and we'll have ourselves a winner.

Wow! Looks pretty cool, though the level design seems more akin to the Dreamland series rather than 64. I'd die for a sequel to Kirby 64.

    THIS. LOOKS. AWESOME.

Honestly, I just can't get over how cool this video looks. The desert level brings back plenty of Kirby 64 nostalgia; the look, the feel, the design, the aesthetics... and not to mention the jumping yellow sand monster.

I am so happy GCN Kirby is seemingly back on (I'm highly assuming this is what it's being built off of). Don't get me wrong; I've played Epic Yarn quite a bit through a few weekend rentals, and I enjoy it a lot... but this... this is Kirby. I felt so nostalgic, just from watching a video of a game that I've never even played. Too cool.

Nah, not likely. Kirby's Epic Yarn was supposed to be a new game, and the main protagonist would have most likely have been Prince Fluff, considering the game would have been called "Fluff of Yarn"
