This game is GENIUS, I want a copy!
It was pretty good.

If you are new to the Obscure Spotlight series, I'll tell you what goes on here. Every Saturday, a randomly selected obscure game gets to be in the Spotlight. Also on the Sunday of the same weekend, a randomly picked cartoon/anime gets to be featured in the Spotlight.
Another Saturday means that there'll be another obscure game to be covered. This week, the Obscure Gaming Spotlight goes to Boogerman: A Pick & Flick Adventure.
You never see light-hearted, cartoony games like this one anymore. Boogerman was a rather unique action/platform title for both the Genesis/MegaDrive and the Super NES done by Interplay (best known for Clay Fighter), and Sculptured Software (now known as Acclaim Studios Salt Lake City) back in 1994 (Genesis/Megadrive) and in early 1995 (Super NES). Boogerman is definitely the only game that specialized in gross actions like snots, belches, and farts for ammunition. It may sound really gross, but it's very effective for knocking-out enemies cold in their tracks. If you ever find a copy of this game, be prepared for the grossest time of your life!
Quick Trivia: In Clay Fighter 63 1/3 for the Nintendo 64, Boogerman was viewed as a rival to Earthworm Jim. Not to mention that Dan Castellaneta provided the voices to both characters.

Don't forget to vote on how you liked the game. Next week, I will bring another fun obscure game, so stay tuned!
Enjoy and Discuss!
...and I'll see you next week!
