If I could make a videogame it would be like this.

    Like This Thread!
I'll assume they gave me a very high range budget like Shenmue, or MetalGearSolid2.

My game would be on the PC I'd toss in a bunch of stuff that I've always admired. It woud be about cavemen in the Ice age or futuristic space colonization.

I mean the cave men would be so much fun. It would combine elements of Real Time Strategy, a PC online adventure, the option of an engine similar to Tribes 2, and Shenmue's freeish 3rd person view as an option. I would personally emphesize polygons over textures, because I would want to have tremendous detail in the ice age enviroment.

    Anyway the specifics.

You'd be able to adopt the image of a caveman (customizing him ala sims style.) And you'd get to control the tribe. You could zoom out to a 3rd person view where it's like omnicient (Warcraft, Starcraft, Age of Empires), but then you can zoom into a level where it's similar to Ryo Hazuki walking around observing all the other people's lives. You'd be able to pretty much go anywhere and do anything, but if you wander to far from the tribe you could get killed by hostile forces (IE animals, other tribes, natural stuff.)

You'd also have to manage resources as well. Your tribe will starve if you don't. You'll also have to collect wood like in AOE (Food please, Wood please ) In the warmer months you could farm, pick berries and do stuff like that. However, doing the rough winter months you have to get more gritty. If you've found a neighboring tribe you might be able to trade/ or more fun steal from them (note: but be careful they might try that on you.) However, the real cool thing would be hunting. Again I draw a parrallel to hunting elephants in the 1st AOE. However, this would be diffrent. This time it's Maammoths and you have to employ genuine strategy to kill one. You see the great beasts travel in heards so it's risky. You have to tell you're forces to position themselves at diffrent area's (not RTS style, but more like tactical.) Each event in the area would be conducted in full Kessen style FMV. (ex. when you command some of your guys to move you see a cut scene of a these cavemen silently treding to a new location, with the mammoths in the background.) However, you have to be extreamly cautious one false move could startle the creatures causing them to.

    A. Run away.

or B. (And this is bad) Charge you head on.

In the later case the action get's crazy, because loss of even 1 hunter can have cataclysmic afffects on your small tribe.

Okay but if you're succesful and you do kill an animal (the young one's would be pretty easy, but the main factor there would the parent actually) you take it back to the village (but be warned there are many tribes/animals that might want to take it from you.) Anyway once you get back to your home you get experiance points.

Technology will be something that can grow. You could like advance from a thrusting to a throwing spear thus decreasing the potential danger in combat.

Warfare: Wars between tribes would be less prevelant but boy would they rock. The style would be similar to Dynasty Warriors 2 in which you hack and slash your opponents (whilst nicely rendered fog, dust, and snow fly about you.) At the risk of getting some activist groups upset you'dd be able to take women and children back to improve the population of your tribe.

Online: It would be possible to form online communites with each player having their own charecter in the tribe. However, hunting and warfare would require teamwork on a level like above even Tribes 2 or PSO.

BTW I know this would require some steep hardware specs, but it would be worth it. However, I don't think there are any computers powerful enough yet to form this dream.

So what kinda of games would you make, with your dev team.

    my game pg-13

dont read if you dont like slaher movies...

it came to me last night. this game would have to be on the pc for memory purposes.

it would be a take off on the slasher movies. there would be 2 modes fo play. slasher against slasher ala mortal kombat style. and there would be an rpg. you could pick from these carecters. jason vorhees. norman bates. the scream guy. michial myers. freddy crugar. and leather face. you could chose differnt apperances for each chacrecter. ex. norman bates would have the street clothes as standard apperance and then his secondary apperacnce would be him dressed as his mother. ex. jason vorhess wopuld have the standard bloody hocky mask on for standard appearance. and he would be in overalls and have a pillowcase on his head for his secondary appearance. for the rpg part of the game: the slasher you picked would have to aconplish his/her task according to the book/movie he/she was in. ex. if you were to pic michiel myers, you would have to kill all of your blood line on hallowen giving you only 24 hours to complete your task. a special feature for the scream guy would be since multiple people wore the scream outfit, you could choose which one you wanted to be and your task would change depending on the one you picked. also depend on the chacrecter you picked, the dificulty would change. ex. jason vorhees being the esiest because you can kill any one you want over any period of time, and michiel myers being the hardest. because you have to kill certian targets with in 24 hours. each charecter has his own selection of wepons. ex. lether face would have a chain saw. ex. scream guy would have a knife and a cell phone. some chacrecters would have more wepon selection than others. as you venture through your rpg game. you might by chance run into another slasher and i would switch in vs. mode, if you won, you get extra points, if you lose, game over. this would only happen rarely though. you would have to strtigise how you would kill you victim, ex. scream guy. lure them into a trap with your cell phone.

vs. mode: this you would have the same selection of charecters with the same choices of wepons and appearances. it would be your pretty basic fighting mode game. you would be gradually working up to a boss who you would have to defeat.

so thats my game, sorry for all the miss spelled words.

I have no idea what my game would be called, but you would basically use chemical waste, radiation, gamma rays and the like to breed hordes of strange, slightly goofy little 60`s B-movie style bug-eyed monsters.(i`m picturing slightly absurd amalgamations of trilobites, centipedes, arachnids and other small creatures covered in spines, claws, tentacles and fuzz.Much like the silly little rubber toys that came out of vending machines long ago)

There would be hundreds of materials to mutate the creatures with, each and every possible combination resulting in a different set of stats (armor, health, speed, ect.) with dozens of special abilities such as eye beams, acid blood, regeneration, toxic breath, anything that ever turned up in a monster movie.Your ultimate goal would be to build up a swarm of as many different mutations as possible, invade cities around the world and bring an end to human civilization, but like any good strategy game, you could connect to someone else through the internet and pit your swarm against theirs.

Expansions to the game could allow you to invade cities in the past and future, such as ancient rome or alien space stations.

I also like the idea of a game where you get to play the role of a disease. But I havent really developed that yet.

    Agent Zero

The title of my game woud be Agent Zero. It would be a first-person, mystery/espionage game. You control a government, shodow operative who's assigned a mission at the begining of the game. You have certain mission parameters, an overall time limit of about ninety-six (real-time) hours and a final objective, but other than that it's just you, working with basic files and a few contacts in the feild. The game adjusts to your actions. There is nothing you have to do to advance you progress, but everything has consequences: like, if you set up a meeting with a contact, but you arrive late, the contact may be dead; If you're shot and don't patch yourself up, you weaken and die, etc. Unlike the Bond games there are no throw-away opponents and the game is not one gunfight or fistfight after another. Because the game reacts to what you do or don't do, there are multiple endings.

If I could make a game it would be a 2-D side scroller for one of the next-gen consoles, that would bring back the enjoyment of the NES days... without the frustration of the bad games. And of course, since no one except Konami, Capcom and maybe SNK are bothering with 2D games anymore... I would revolutionize the industry and bring about the second coming of Side Scrollers!
