I wish this was for the PS3. I love Capcom fighters, but I don't have a Wii, but I would probably buy one just for this game.
Excellent. I wonder how Capcom manage to pull this off? So many companies have the Tatsunoko licenses, I bet it cost Capcom a lot of money. Then again seeing as the only Tatsunoko licenses that have made an impact in the U.S. are Gatchaman and Casshem they probably must have gotten the other licenses pretty cheap.

Excuse me for sounding like The Red Guy, but NOW I CAN DIE HAPPY!! If only we could find a Full Version of Asami Abe's Across the Border, then I'll be all set. They just need to keep the Opening unaltered, and not leave it instrumental, like some DBZ Opening Themes on the games.
This is great news, I'd never imagined them bringing the game over since a lot of characters from Tatsunoko have never appeared in the States.
I'd probably get the game, but money's tight and I don't want to spend money on a game I'll have no one to play with.

That's what I'd like to know. As far as I understand it, Capcom would have had to license each of the represented Tatsunoko IP's individually, and even then they may be held by other companies in the U.S..
That being said, what does Capcom have to say about it? Are we supposed to just take the word of a third-party publication whose "confirmation" may or may not be speculatory.
Still, if this is legitimate, I would really like to know how Capcom was able to avoid paying Tatsunoko for each individual IP. In any case, Capcom is going to be in a LOT of trouble if various U.S. lawsuits start coming in (i.e., Sandy Frank might want to have a word with them about Gatchaman, for instance). Think about it, certain "entities" (for lack of a better) may want to have their "piece of the pie", as it were.
In short, I think we should wait for either further confirmation, or more information (e.g., for all we know, Capcom might have to replace the Tatsunoko characters at some later time if their plan--whatever it is--doesn't work out). Still, I would like to buy this game myself...

I don't know that I'd call Nintendo Power "third party." I picked up an issue not too long ago and it was all known & reliable info inside. If something shows up in there, it's a done deal.
I would suggest that it's not the medium, but the quality of perception and expression, that determines the significance of art. But what would a cartoonist know? -Bill Watterson

Not just one game, there are a ton of good games on the system. It just takes some research to find something suited to your interests.
Anyway, it's awesome that Capcom got over the copyright hurdles to bring the game over. I look forward to using Mega Man, Viewtiful Joe, and some of those quirky Tatsunoko characters I never heard of.
If only Nintendo could attempt the same with Jump Super Stars.
If it's not here, then it's over there. But if it's not over there, then where is it?

Between this and the upcoming 360 XBLA release of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, this is quite awesome news!![]()
I dont think it will hurt it as long as the most iconic characters are on the forefront of the advertisments. I barley know any of these characters and I want to play it. Now the fact that its a 3rd party traditianal game on the Wii thats what might hurt it since those games dont tend to do very well sadly.
I just hope no characters get cut out due to rights and if so hopefully they replace them with something cool from that list of characters they wanted to use like Tekkaman Evil. :anime:
MIRACLES DO COME TRUE O________________________O
I plan on buying this the day it comes out, rushing home, squeling like a lil' girl, and playing this.
If Capcom could do plenty of advertising for the game, I'm sure it will do pretty well for itself. I highly doubt this will be a Zack & Wiki situation when the game got no advertising.
If it's not here, then it's over there. But if it's not over there, then where is it?

Well, as they say; "Cat's outta the bag" lol. As I recall, one of Capcom's mystery games would show up on E3, one in demo form and the other via Press Conference.
Perhaps this' the game that took the Press Conference side. Heh, this' great. First we have ESRB leaks, Amazon leaks now a gaming mag leak.

Capcom is taking a pretty big risk here. Lots of licensing issues means lots of money and this doesn't seem like the kind of game that's going to sell. Too many of those anime characters are just far too obscure.
Nice try, but the June 2009 issue is the most recent one (I have it), and it didn't say anything about this game.
EDIT: That said, how did "NEOGAF" manage to get the July issue? Perhaps you can direct me to the issue and page it's on? That said, until either Capcom or Nintendo make an official announcement, I personally must assume that this is a hoax.

I think this took a while to get all the permissions together and that capcom is going to have to share A LOT of money. Still cool though.
