All I want to know is if Overworks is going to develop this, cause if they aren't and Sonic Team is all hope is lost.
Skies of Arcadia is, to me, one of the most original and best-developed RPGs of its time, and it still holds up pretty well even to this day. That said...

According to this article, Sega is possibly prepping to announce the development of Skies of Arcadia 2 for the Wii (and maybe for PS3) later this year at September's Tokyo Game Show. This claim comes from a German magazine, though, so I can't say just how reliable the info really is.
Responses I've found to this article have stated that SoA2 would have no place on the Wii, and that it should be made for the 360 or PS3. Personally, I think it could work on the Wii, given it brings enough to the table to keep it fresh, and it finds some way to integrate the Wii remote into the battles (or possibly the ship battles), but if it turns out to be a more refined, enhanced, and traditional RPG (like SoA1 is), the 360 would suit it more.
What do you guys think?![]()

Shoot, id rather take Shenmue 3 over SoA. Of course, i really need to beat the first Shenmue asap, so i can get started on the second one...

Skies wrapped everything up rather neatly, but I could see a second.
Shenmue, how many people can you get to still care?
Do not underestimate the power of true Sega fans around the globe.
I wonder how many people signed that fake petition online on "who owns a Sega Dreamcast?" I bet alot of people filled that out, and more wanted too, after the link was shut down by sega because the person behind it was just getting personal info. But, other than that, people love their old Sega systems and Shenmue...

Sorry, but One Piece is a superior replacement for Skies of Arcadia.
Anyway, I agree about Shenmue, we need to get the end of that before anything else.
If Sega fans around the globe put their money where their mouth was, and bought Shenmue II, then you'd probably have a case.
Skies of Arcadia is way more marketable, and has a higher chance of selling well. Sega'd do well to get on that while the Wii is in great need for RPGs.
