Boom Blox - The Wii's first blockbuster

I picked up Boom Blox today, and I am in love with it. You begin with the tutorial missions where they're very easy (of course) to get gold scores. Then you unlock Explore mode where you can try one of five categories of challenges. There's puzzles around the bomb blox, the vanish blox, and point blox. You try to knock down all the point blocks in as few throws as possible (gold is usually one throw only). I've yet to sink my teeth into the so-called story mode, but I'm going to try to get golds on all the Explore missions first.

I highly recommend this game. It's incredibly fun and addictive.

Yeah, the reviews have been surprisingly strong. It looks interesting, I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

I still just can't wrap my brain around a game like that being fun for very long, but that only makes me all the more interested in checking it out.

once you know how to obtain gold in all the exploratory modes, there's no more replay there

adventure mode is typically more of the same except it involved the characters. i just completed the story of the sheep protecting their gem blox treasure from the bears

having a heck of a fun time with the multiplayer though, especially with the throw and grab games. the grab games are pretty much jenga, but on the wii

The priced killed the game, if they had priced it at 30 or even 40 it'd be flying off the shelves. Another thing the game doesn't exactly look interesting at first sight, not to mention being released with all the MK and GTA4 hype..
