I;ll watch, but I'd still rather have a way to watch new episodes of Judgment Day and Electric Playground that doesn't involve watching online.
Old-school G4 shows. For three hours. Every weekday. On G4 proper. Starting June 2nd.
And, no, it won't be an endless stream of X-Play, Cheat, Game Makers, and Cinematech (Though classic eps from those shows will air). We're talking old-school Filter, Judgement Day, G4TV.com (the tv show), Arena, Portal, and others. Shows that I have never seen because I only had G4 the network since last year, although I did watch some classic X-Play and Judgement Day reviews when I still had G4 On Demand.

BTW, off-topic, I had a question answered in the same Open Source round that announced G4 Rewind! Yes, G4 already launched their non-podcast iTunes page before my question was answered (and after I asked it), but still:
Who's going to watch/record/care? I will.

G4 has had such low ratings that Charter took it off in my area.

I haven't had G4 or cared for it in quite a while, but I was around before G4 was an ad network and was notoriously known for its buyout of TechTV. While slightly campy, a little low budget, and not always great, the classic G4 programming had its own charm and that "this-is-video-game-television!" kind of feel.
I've watched all of those shows many times before, but the ones I tried to keep up with was G4TV.com, Judgment Day, and Icons/Game Makers. Stuff like Arena, Filter, and Cinematech was fun to watch when it was on, but the other shows were just mediocre. Portal had its own following, but I was never really interested.
Cat-Tales - The real Gotham After Dark.
Victory.
Somebody should ask them why they can't be more like G4TechTV in Canada where they have more tech shows? We get shows like AOTS and X-Play, but we also have Electric Playground, Reviews on the Run, both shows by Leo Laporte (Call for Help early in the morning and The Lab), and some others. We don't have countless episodes of Cops or Lost.
On G4's Open Source Q&A, President Neal Tiles addresses the question of the different networks in the US and Canada.
“When is Canada finally going to receive your full lineup of programming? As it stands now we only get a fraction, which are looped throughout the day. Apparently due to licensing issues?”user: Purdymouth
That’s right on the licensing issues. While we share a similar name, G4 in Canada and G4 in the US are operated independently and maintain totally different owners from one another. Deals for programs in either country do not automatically carry over to the other country.

Which show was the show about the guy named Dave and some virtual world based on video games? I barely saw any of that but it looked pretty tight: If they air that again, I'm so watching.
Man I haven't posted on ToonZone since...
Thanks for the plug, all. Hope you enjoy the block and hopefully this is just the beginning of good things on G4...
It might be a while until I can get G4 again (I don't have Digital cable right now) but this is indeed cool and for the first time in a long while I am actually wanting to watch G4 again.
Thank God, I'll actually be watching G4 this week. These shows are what made the network great a few years back.
G4's summer lineup looks alright to me. Pretty good, compared to recent years anyway. This rewind block is awesome and more emphases on their tech/geek shows is an A in my book. Less Cheaters and more X-Play please.
AOTS is good, nothing compared to the ScreenSavers of old, but alright. I'm also looking forward to G4's coverage of E3, Comic-Con, Leipzig and PAX.
Also, I actually find Code Monkeys funny. It's all over-the-top, gross humor, but hey, so what?
Also their airing the King of Kong today at 5pm ET. Thats awesome.
(AND THAT INCLUDES YOU)
Hmm a reason to get out of bed early. I might try to time when to get up to watch my favorite shows before G4 jumped the shark.

Damn. It's while I'm working.
Thank-you VCR! Prepare to get a work-out.
I missed most of this (I got G4 right after the merger), but I've heard a lot of most of this. And I miss me some G4TV.com.
