Super Smash Bros Brawl - Online Tournament Groups, Matches and Results Thread

Well, James Bester moped the floor with me in our matches. 3-0 on his favor.

Although in that first match in Smashville I made tons of mistakes that led to two stupid deaths.

Rogue and I just brawled it out. I did 4 matches with him as the first was disqualified as the wrong items were enabled.

I won 3 all. (4 all if you count first round which had the wrong items).

First match he gave me a good run for my money Peach vs Lucario.

I wiped him the next two rounds with Toon Link vs Lucario.

It was edge of the seat, hit for hit action as we both kept pace on the final round Toon Link vs Wolf. Watch out for his wolf, he plays it damned well =).

Let the records show that Desensitized won two of our matches and I won one.

They were all pretty close too!

Those were pretty damn close. Sorry if some of those KOs seemed a bit cheap.

Don't worry about it. I wasn't expecting that Cracker Launcher KO at Smashville because I thought they were a banned item but I stand corrected. But, oh well, it was still fun!

I'm embarrassed about the way I killed myself as Jigglypuff on Yoshi's Island... twice.

EDIT: I just realized we could have battled at Onett seeing as we seem to be the only two people in the world who like that stage! Oh well.

Yeah, I read the list over to make sure no banned items made it in. The cracker launcher is only good at high percents, anyway.

That's nothing, man. One time against Raven I killed myself 3 times and only got him once.

Edit: Yeah, that stage is so underrated.

For interested parties, the original signup spreadsheet was converted to have the Stage List and the point tallies. I also tossed in a character grid to, although its really only useful IMHO to see who the popular characters are >.> The signup roster tab still makes it easier to quickly figure out what characters you're playing against =).

Ok well I fought Don and this is how it went

Round 1: Toon Link vs Ike(I was so close at first X_X and then somehow it just went downhill for me xD and yeah I lost that round)

Round 2: Toon Link vs Falco(I lost that one to.. but man Don is a MONSTER in Lylat Cruise..)

Round 3: Toon Link vs Ike(I won this one but.. Don walked off the edge at the very end for some reason..)

so Don +2 and me+1

I am glad this tournament works on points since I still got a chance of staying in xD.

It was because I won best out of the three matches anyway. So I figured why bother, that and the lag screwed me over yet again.

EDIT- Point system? I must've miss something. ***READS RULES*** Okay, I did. I should also like to point out to my other opponents that tommorow is your last chance this week to fight me. I'm going out for the weekend and won't be back until probably late sunday night.

You flatter me, especially since I'm not that good of a player.

Again, I'm honored to have fought with you; you played an honorable game and you're deadly with Toon Link, and I agree: I was tense on the third match because I wanted to so win that one point. My Wolf became your Link's new fur coat.

And actually, I have a question: why DID the first round have some of the banned items? I specifically turned them off and set the items to low. Can anyone tell me if there was something else I was to do with the settings such as press some sort of "Save" button or not press B-button to exit out of the settings? I want to make sure that this doesn't happen again when I host another Brawl room.

It could have been an error on Knighthammer's move since he could have forgotten to turn off all items since, even if you do pick the same stage, I think it pick randomly on who is right. Though thinking about it... knowing KH and his eagerness to ban the weapons when we were settting the rules, I imagine he would have set the items for the tournament.

I just gotta add everyone, put the items on low, take off the banned items, and make sure that the sandbags are not the only item as I been busy collecting songs.

Second Match: Sonic vs. Toon Link; Stage: Halberd

Third Match: Link vs. Toon Link; Stage: Bridge of Eldin

All three were close call matches. No items showed up surprisingly on all three. Toon Link is just too fast and stong. Congratulations

I still need to add everyone in Group B, but PM me later this week and I'll be free.

It looks like all of us can agree that Hanenbow isn't a good stage. Things are already heating up nicely. I'm glad there isn't that many stage conflicts. For Group B, Yoshi's Island (Brawl) and Lylat Cruise are the two stages with a 2/3 majority selected. Battlefield, Luigi's Mansion, Shadow Moses Island, and Smashville have been selected by half the group. I'm not too picky with stages, but these seem to be the best bets for Group B. All of the stages listed haven't been banned by anyone in the group.

Score one point for me, two for Punisher AKA Thor. We both fought fairly, though I thought that the first match shouldn't have counted since it took place on Onett, a field we didn't choose but whatever, I admit my defeat in that match so. Incase you're wondering he won the first round, I won the second, he won the third.

Eh, Onett is a stage I like anyways, but I'm willing to go a third round if you think it was unfair. If not, good matches man. I'd say stick with Pikachu over Pokemon Trainer, you gave me a lot more trouble with the yellow mouse then the Squirtle or Charizard. Mainly because my laser always went straight over your head, even when we were facing each other.
