Thinking with Portals: Think Again

On tonight's episode of X-Play, lead designer for Portal, Kimberly Swift, confirmed that there will be a Portal 2. This is pretty much a given as Doug Lombardi, Valve's Director of Marketing, had previously stated that "more Portal is definitely on the way." However, until now we weren't sure if this would be in the form of a direct sequel or possibly downloadable content. Well, now we know. Check out the video for the confirmation.

It seems Portal 2 has been announced, but it might just be a misunderstanding between the Designer and the Director of Marketing about an expansion pack/downloadable content.

Sweet! I just tried out Portal the other day at a local gaming cafe and it is very very fun! Very original! The only major gripe I had about it was that it was way too short. Even Newgrounds' 2D version was longer.

I hope this game will be much longer and have more puzzles...and cake!

But, seriously, I can't wait to see what else awaits us in the world of Portal. I love the first game to death so I welcome a Portal 2 with open arms.
