8bitrocket.com issue the Mid-Core Gamer Manifesto
I thought this was an interesting read. I've been saying for years that the "hardcore versus casual" dichotomy that's crept into the industry recently is overly divisive and doesn't address the true diversity of people's gaming needs: it's a spectrum, not two distinct categories, and most of us fall somewhere in between the extremes. While I don't necessarily agree with every bullet point (I'm not averse to paying $60 for the occasional new game, and I don't mind monthly fees if they're reasonable and give good value for your dollar, like Gamefly or, recent outages aside, Xbox Live), it's still nice to see that someone else gets what I'm talking about.

Yea, they bring up some valled points.
Im sure one day when i get a wife or (let not think THAT to far ahead Zeonic):anime:, a GF for that matter, im sure my time will be cut down quite a bit (unless she likes games too. But you have a GF, you can pretty much have a reason to get outta the house more).
Its a nice manifesto to begin with...
