What are some of your fav. Video Game Cutscenes?

    Like This Thread!
I was playing FFX the other day for PS2, and it had the most awesome cutscenes I've ever seen, and I just wanted to know what your fav. cutscene(s) was.

    Here's one of mine:

In the beginning of FFX, where there's a cutscene of all the players playing Blitzball in the water was so awesome! Words can't even describe how awesome this was! And to add more icing to the cake, the music was perfect for that scene, and I'll remember that scene my whole video game life!

P.S. Does anyone like my "Valentine's Day" avatar?

I'm not really sure what a cutscene is, but I'm assuming it's those movies in the videogames...I hope Well, if it is....

mine is at the beginning of Final Fantasy VIII where the Liberi Fatali song plays. I also liked the end of FF8 where Laguna proposes to (errrrr what's her face?? can't remember the name for now...) the lady and where Rinoa is on the balcony and Squall and her kiss. awwwwwwwwwww

    I just love that game!

I'm in the middle of FFX, but seeing the graphic animation....it's incredible. they talk! wohoo! There's more movie to FFX than fighting, which kinda sucks, but it's all good. I enjoy both the same Japan made a DVD version of the game, which is an entire movie. I've been thinking they should've just made FFX the Final Fantasy Movie instead of Spirits Within. Never saw Spirits Within yet, though. >.< i'm sure it's still a good movie.

ok, i digress. I'm sure more favorites will pop up as I continue to play FFX.

The beginning of FFX is sweet

    The intro to Chrono Cross

FF7, Aeris' death and The ending

    A helluva lot in Lunar

    FFX, Battling Sin.

There's a lot, but those ones stand out in me head most now.

Lessee... the Blitzball game at the beginning of FFX, and Yuna sending the spirits of the dead away--that second one was one of the most amazing things I've seen.

A goodly deal of MGS2, especially Fortune's intro & death scene. Although I must say--Emma's unnecessarily prolonged death scene (God, I hate her) is highly MiSTable.

It was sad though. I loved the insane Con-sair ripoff though. I thought that whole scene with the bond between Snake and Otacon (Hetero bond, don't even start with vamp or any crap like that) was pretty cool.

That was definitely cool. But I just HATED Emma--she's one of those patented Jennifer Hale voiced useless whiny girls, and the fact that I spent several days' worth of play leading her around like a bratty monkey did not endear her to me. Yeah, I felt sorry for Otacon, but then, I pitied him the moment she opened her mouth. Poor guy.

    Fun with Emma:

Shoot her in the tush with a live round

    Spray her with coolant

Shoot her with a tranq dart

Upon shooting her with a tranq dart, get down, shimmy on top of her, and call Otacon. HILARITY!

If you can do it right, knock her into the 'deep water' where you fought Vamp just prior to rescueing her.

Oddworld kicked ass...until the *expletive deleted* decided *Wahhh, oh, the PS2 is too hard...we can't program things on the PS2...boohoo* and went to Microsoft.*expletive deleted*. But yeah, Oddworld 1 + 2 are some of my favorite puzzle/action/platform/survival horror/meat related games!

    I liked the Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie cutscenes. You know what, I've never played a FF game before. I don't, because I don't have a PS2 and just got a PS for $20.

    1. The intro to Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross.
    2. Sephiroth's cutscene of killing Aeris.
    3. The scene from Lunar 2, when Lucia is trying to kill Zophar, but knowing that the whole world would be destoryed if she does.
    4. Tons of parts in Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete.
    5. Even though I didn't really like the game, FFX had some very nice scenes.

Whoa, gaming sure has changed since the first time I played my NES.

Pretty much all of FF7 ones.
    The opening of FF8
The opening of Resident Evil: Code Veronica
Also the opening and ending of Resident Evil 2
And the Dino Crisis 2 opening was quite fun to watch.

although all of the FF series cut scenes are incredibly awesome. My most favorite cut scene ever was from Mega Man X4. Before you fight Sigma (playing as Zero, not X) you go to a cut scene that reveals much of Zero's past, I won't spoil anything else, but it's very awesome!

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: the ending. It just seems epic to me, I'm a huge Zelda fan

Pretty much any cutscene from Final Fantasy is going to rock hard, though I'll have to agree with others here... Blizzard does fantastic cutscenes as well, and Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie are full of wicked British fun. (Though the unique "voices," where they take a sound sample and "scratch" it, are loads of fun in general.)

Might I also add Conker's Bad Fur Day? You just haven't lived until you've seen the scenes from Conker's Bad Fur Day... "I'm a brush, I don't kick ass!" Not to mention the squirrel versions of The Matrix and Saving Private Ryan... priceless! And then, of course, the opera:

Iiiiiii am... the Great Mighty Poo
And I'm going to throw my *bleep* at you...
