PS3 Gains +10 Resistance to Fire and Ice Attacks
Good news, PS3 owners. Looks like Sony may have stolen Nintendo's coveted "Most Durable Console Maker" trophy. The folks over at PS3 Vault subjected three PS3s to a marathon 108 hour continuous use stress test: one in a normal living room, one in a freezer van with temperatures reaching down to 0 F, and one in a sauna with temperatures up to 120 F. Three PS3s enter... three PS3s leave? All three consoles emerged unscathed, with only the most minor of gameplay glitches to show for it.
Now that's impressive. I love these sorts of tests, they're so much fun. I just wish they'd tossed three 360s and three Wiis into the fray so that we could've had a real competition.
But i do know what test PS3 fail at, the drop test. Well, i guess if you drop a system period, its going to break anyways, just not as good as a PS3 im guessing. As far as im concerned, Nintendo makes systems outta Kevlar.
Not only will they break in a million peices, but create a freaking crater as well...
Of course the PS3 would survive those. Not even a sledgehammer can destroy it (see SmashMyPS3.com). No, that's not my site.
