i might get a tristar 64 3 system converter for n64 for about $106. it enables you to play n64, famicom (and NES with another converter) and super nintendo/famicom games and has a built-in gameshark. do you think it's worth it?

Gameshark is satan. Other than that, sounds good, but you can get NES and SNES emulators for free. I'd say save up another 100 and buy a gamecube.

It all depends on what your definition of "worth it" is.

You might. You can even get N64 emulators if your computer is up to snuff and you have the right kind of video card.
