But they are remaking Number Seven too, right?
*echo effect of being in a large empty room* Riiight?
They leaked this over the internets it seems, allthough no game news sites that are in english have it up yet
It's gonna be to the like of how they did Final Fantasy 3
Allthough They're allready re-releasing 1 for the PSP, released 3, and now 4

THIS WEEK: The revolution has begun! In today's NEXT-GEN PREVIEW SPECIAL, be the first to see ten brand-new titles from the video game consoles of the near future!
Forget 4 and 7, gimme VI.
"Oh tell me where your freedom lies
The streets are fields that never die
Deliver me from reasons why
You'd rather cry; I'd rather fly." -- Jim Morrison, The Crystal Ship
"The future ain't what it used to be." Jim Morrison.
Forget all of those, give me IX.
Good new, though. Glad I held off on getting the Advance version.
Why IV? The GBA version is fine as it is.
Who knows, it could wind up not even being released in America due to redundancy
the Square Super Party event is when they're going to show more, so maybe there is a larger reason behind it
Allthough the GBA version was messed up in alot of areas, the PS1 version was effectively a direct port of the Hard Type version which the GBA version wasn't IIRC. So maybe this is just a remade Hard Type port
Forget those... give us... a new iteration? Something that's made for the DS from the ground up?

IV is my second favorite Final Fantasy, next to VI, but I really don't think it needs to be remade. I'll play it regardless, but it's fine the way it is now.
Will this have voice acting, I have been noticing that more of the portable games have voice acting now.
Wow. Square Enix loves remaking their games to death. 0_o

Well la-dee-dah, upon further research and developments by the We Have Nothing Better to Do Internet Organization, it appears this may in turn be a gag due to recent internet developments
In other words there is reason to doubt that the existence of a 4 remake can because it either can be confirmed or denied at this point
some claim that this is a mask for something bigger
other people say that this is definately going to happen
It did appear in one of the listings apparently for "stuff to be shown", but other than that it is not jiving right like the other listed games.
mind you This info comes off of translations from moon language messages made by the glorious nippon empire
in other words could the thread title have the word "rumored" inserted
Gag lock down!
