I might have to check out the first two.
This is a thread dedicated to the unannounced game that will most likely be revealed anytime soon. The first two were some of the best RPG's I have ever played and I am sure the third would be amazing especially on a 360 so as news is realeased just post it here or discuss the franchise. For those that don't know KOTOR means Knights of the Old Republic and is part of the Star Wars universe and takes place 4,000 years before the fall of the republic.

If there's a KOTOR three, it most likely won't be done by Bioware. I hope they give it to Obsidian again but this time give them time to actually finish it.
While you're waiting for KOTOR III, which is not really a definite thing, you should definitely check out Mass Effect. That's more or less the spiritual sucessor and upgrade to the first KOTOR. Maybe play Jade Empire if you missed it.
And stay out of Riverdale!
I would have expected Lucas Arts to churn this game out a long time ago through BioWare or Obsidian.
Or at least an updated KOTOR2, since that was a 75% finished game at release.
Disappointed that they havent done either, I liked those games alot more than any other Star Wars ones.
Well rumor has it that Bioware's new Austin studio that is focusing on a MMO....is actually the next KOTOR game. Nothing has been announced yet, but it was mentioned on a recent 1up.com podcast at GDC. We shall see.
I'm not familar with BioWare aside from KOTOR and Jade Empire, so I want to ask a question.
Are they large enough to have multiple big-name titles (Such as Mass Effect, KOTOR, etc.) in development simultaneously? Otherwise, I think that they would have their hands full with Mass Effect and the development of KOTOR III (Which I imagine is currently in the planning stages) would likely go to a different developer.
Hopefully they don't prematurely release it like they did with KOTOR 2.
Oh god I hope that KOTOR won't become a MMORPG. This is the best series of Star Wars games next to Jedi Knight and making it online would cheapen it just like it did to Final Fantasy.
Bioware's main focus right now is Mass Effect, but im sure we will see a KOTOR III down the line, it's just a mater of when. Mass Effect is supposed to be a trilogy, so it could be a good while.

Considering the reception of KOTOR2 I don't think there'll be a KOTOR3 any time soon.
And plus, I'd rather they do Mass Effect rather than another KOTOR.
If that happens, words will not be able to describe my disappointment. I'm a huge fan of RPGs, but not so big a fan of Final Fantasy style games - So I'm greatly looking forward to seeing more single player RPGs such as Mass Effect and KOTOR and less MMO's in the future... It's a futile dream, but hey - Give me another finished KOTOR game and I'll be happy!
Also, it's not like KOTOR 2 was poorly recieved - It's just that it lacked any real ending. If Obsidian had been allowed and given the time to implement the ending they *wanted* to use for it, it would've been fantastic! I think there's enough excitment out there for a third, as long as they adopt an 'It'll be ready when it's ready' mantra and stick to it.

So if it does happen, what would you like to see in KOTOR III. I'd like to see less obvious, thornier moral choices and bigger environments. Maybe make blaster characters have some advantages so there would be some point to putting them on the team.
And stay out of Riverdale!
First off, I'd try using the Symphony of the Night approach, making the first hour or so what the ending of KOTOR 2 should have been.
Then from there, I want more interaction.

I recommend Neverwinter Nights 2 to KOTOR fans looking for another RPG to play, it uses a similar system, but is more in-depth and complex.
KOTOR 2 jacked up my computer pretty good.![]()

First off, I totally agree with your choices.
I want to see a new battle system. While I love the KOTOR series, I've always felt that its battle system (I like to call it the half turn-based, half real-time hybrid) was keeping it from achieving perfection. Jade Empire, another BioWare title, has an excellent battle system that I'd like to see implemented into the next KOTOR game.
Another thing I'd like to see is a longer quest. Many people talk about how long the two games are, but I finished both of them with all the side quests completed in about 25 hours each.
Finally, I'd like to see a more complex plot. While KOTOR 1 had a great story, KOTOR 2's was cliched and boring.
