Ubisoft finally spills the beans and confirms Assasin's Creed for the Xbox360. Another reason not to spend 600 on a PS3

it's also not like Ubisoft stays majorly exclusive, they pretty much port the majority of their stuff
However the quality of the port is another matter, it's really going to depend what stats the PC version is going to run on.
In all instances the new Nvidia and Raidon cards should be out by then, sofar their new cards run about 400-600+ for their high end cards. You get pretty good preformance out of them if you've got a good processors.

The rumor is the only reason they've stayed quiet till now is because Sony's license for exclusivity expired last night. Looks like they decided not to renew

No, the PC version was known for awhile
it's also it's not the only good example of the genre on the PS3 either, I'm abit more interested on how it will compare to Heavenly Sword
Since the PS3 and 360 can handle PC ports very well, you're probably going to see 3 ways like this more often than before. But this also depends on your Hardware stats for your PC. The Console versions may cost more and run close to or the highest settings, but in turn you don't need to shell out a few hundred for an upgrade to run on the same settings even though the PC version is cheaper.
If it's for the PC and is a relatively big name title and doesn't relay on heavy online interface(i.e.WOW) it's going to be ported 3 ways
Allready series like Half-Life are doing this, allthough I wish they wouldn't take the PC game flaws with them when they arrive on consoles(i.e. the need for patches)

It was officialy confirmed recently, but it's exitence was known for a few months
they flip flopped alot so it was sort of confusing to get a straight answer

Same thing with the Xbox360. They never gave a straight answer, despite all the evidence. Heck, there was a conference where there was an Xbox360 sitting next to a screen with an AC presentation
. The exclusivity license rumor makes sense: they couldn't say a thing without breaking the contract. Now that its expired, they are able to confirm it.
Edit: the PC version was confirmed yesterday

This was inevitable... Anyone who thought it wouldn't come was just being a fanboy.

This news makes me happy.

Good. Now I have the chance to finally play the game without needing a PS3 since I've an interest in it for a while.
