Nice to see Golden Axe will be included. The old version will erase the bad memories of the Sega Classics Collection remake from our minds, hopefully.

And 30 games is a great number, reminiscent of Taito Legends. I look forward to seeing the full list- I hope Kid Chameleon is on there.

There's also a Taito legends 2 coming out as well
    http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/t...%20Legends%202

    it features 40 games

I expect both to be Holiday season releases, due to their supposed bargain price and the release scheduel of the other compilations

Yup, I'm aware. It's worth buying just for Cameltry, Ray Force, and Ray Storm. Though it's been a while since I've seen the full list of games (which you can find at www.taitolegends2.com ), so it was nice to have my memory refreshed.

Dungeon Magic is alo one to be noted

It's a great Brawler with RPG elements, it was also a very rare arcade game

I'm buying for PSP... The list looks nice, especially with the PS games, all 3 Golden Axes, and stuff like Comix Zone rounds it out nicely...

    ...

And if these are all available on the Wii, I'd rather pick and choose.

(That's not to say I don't enjoy compilations. I have a good stack. It's just with the advent of the downloadable game revoltion, we can be more picky)

    EDIT-
And a thread regarding this title already exists.

Both the Sega and Taito compilations interest me. However, I don't know if the Taito one has been announced for United States release yet (I hope so, because I so want to play Puchi Carat again).

Exactly. I want the arcade versions of all of the Golden Axe games in one collection.

But those download services arn't going to feature all those from the get go, it's going to take a good while for things to get moving

so for 40 bucks you get 70 games with both compilations, it won't even cost a dollar per game. And I doubt that tthe downloadable content is going to only cost 25-75 cents per game.

To be honest I think within the first 2 months of the service people will figure out a way to download everything without having to pay any money just like with XBox Live Arcade. People might just upload their downloaded content online and give it out for free.

    Meh that's typical

But I wouldn't want to be one to suffer the wrath of a crackdown, if one was ever to arise

So I pretty much stay in the green by getting my games the legal way

But IIRC there are only going to be a handful of games for Nintendo's service, with more occasionally added. That big list has alot of games with licence issues and such. Allthings considered though, I think I have a copy of each game that's going to be initialy on the service when it first starts up.

There's also that Playstation Download Service which is pretty much in the same situation, they had the Sgea Ages compilations as well so I don't think that all the older games will just stick to one service

The more exposure Ristar gets to the public, the better.

(And you KNOW they'll include it.)

Wow! With 30+ games and interviews as one of the things that can be unlocked, this compilation looks like it's going to be amazing!

I'm still hoping that Vector Man is one of the games that's going to be on this compilation.

Whoops, didn't see the screenshots until you mentioned it.

Still, as I said, the more exposure Ristar gets to the public, the better.

Vectorman 1 and 2 was released with Sonic Gems

allthough being that Sonic is on there, they could easily double dip

And they're also double dipping with Ristar.

Wow, it's not like Hudson has promised 100 Turbografix-16 titles for the Wii's Virtual Console.
