Woah, someone out there likes Simpsons Wrestling? Most people (myself included, I had to review the wretched thing) tend to think it's Superman-level bad.
Anyway:

I have no real incentive to do so. None of the games have appealed to me and neither has the price tag. As for broadening my horizons, I have sat and played pretty much 70-80% of game platforms (excluding the Jaguar and 32X to my pride) so no offense, but I don't think I need to broaden my horizons.originally posted by I R Joey

Personally, I have never been a fan of Sega, in game output, platform or market attitude. I know that this is a little against the grain - especially when we talk about the megadrive and the master system. The Saturn also totally unimpressed me. I'm not willing to really give the DC a try.
Of course, if someone threw over a working Dreamcast for me to test, I would not object, but I ain't spending my money on one.

Never played a Dreamcast but I like the looks of some of the Sega 1st party stuff, I hope more Sega games come to PS2. (Crazy Taxi is A LOT of fun, not worth $50 though!)

Which is why the Dreamcast failed. Honestly, the Dreamcast is a much better system than Saturn ever was, but people felt so fed up with Sega's past failures that they didn't want to give this one a try.The Saturn also totally unimpressed me. I'm not willing to really give the DC a try.
There were a ton of great games for the Dreamcast that could suit every taste... don't tell me you've managed to avoid Crazy Taxi so far? It really does seem like you haven't given the system a decent chance.
Anyway, with the Dreamcast kaput, you can find them for $99 and cheaper, not to mention games at $20 and cheaper. There's a lot of neat stuff out there if you're willing to dig.

sega is a my favorite platform maker
True. I never doubted the ability of the Dreamcast. I remember I was working in the computer industry at the time of sega's big baby and could see them making every mistake in the book - once more, they were precisely the SAME mistakes they made with the Saturn.Which is why the Dreamcast failed. Honestly, the Dreamcast is a much better system than Saturn ever was, but people felt so fed up with Sega's past failures that they didn't want to give this one a try.
They released it far too early, in an attempt to beat Sony to the new gen punters. By doing so they released a machine not entirely ready (internet access a joke, catalogue not particulary packed) and months behind the technology that Sony was predictably going to promise. Exactly the same errors as those on the Saturn.
Their PR was a joke to. Sega never learned from Sony. If you're nice to the press, the press are nice to you (sometimes). If you send them a review copy, let them keep it - DON'T demand it back afterwards. Small things like that meant that the press' reaction was always lukewarm while Sony powered ahead with some free stuff and cool PR. Silly Sega.
Sega never seemed to realise that the market was changing. No longer was it dominator of the market (it's success in crushing the SNES sales appears to have created a rather over inflated head at Sega control!). It didn't learn it's error until it was too late...
If I was rich, I might buy one cheap for a laugh. However I watched with interest it's rise and rather bitter fall with interest. I was glad I didn't invest in it and I am now waiting for a price drop in the PSX2.
In the meantime, I'll just sit and play FF on my Psx and occasionally pull the snes out for a quick bash... and as for Chaos on my Speccy PC emulator..... ah those were the days![]()

I don't know dude, have you seen Shenmue chapter 1 in motion? That by itself in the opinion of many can more or less stand up to alot of the current PS2 games. Honestly I think there was a great game for every genre besides RPG's (have not played Skies of Arcadia don't really care to either) Then there where games like
JetGrindRadio-How this game didn't send DC's flying is beyond me.
Crazy Taxi: Actually sold pretty well on DC, fun to.
Sports games: 2k1 and 2k series.
platformers: Sonic Adventure.
Fighters: Soul Calibur, Marvel vs. Capcom 1/2, Virtru fighter 3, and Dead or Alive 2.
Then games like SonicAdventure2, and Shenmue 2 coming.
As for the online on the DC being a joke I don't agree play any of their sports games online and you will see. I think the biggest reason the DC failed was the fact that people, just turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to Sega when they where turning out the goodness. Oh well you're okay to do whatever you want, maybe the situation was diffrent in your country, then in the U.S.A.
