What's up with Viz media and tournament games

    Like This Thread!
Of course I am just basing this on just the one piece and Zatch bell fighting games. But it seems Viz media only has fighting games. Or can it be that their Rpg games and others are just not that important to them to market on tv and they do exist or will exist someday, right? I don't know if it is just me but I would rahter see an Rpg version of each one of those games that have been made for Viz media serie's. Can someone explain.

Talk to Bandai. They're the ones who make the games. Viz Media doesn't even have the master license to One Piece (that'd be 4kids unfortunately).

Zatch Bell and One Piece are all about fighting so it makes sense to have fighting games. ZB could work well as an RPG I suppose but One Piece has proven to not work so well as an RPG. Though you might think it would...

They brought out an RPG for Inuyasha not so long ago. When it comes to anime games they tend to stick to RPG's and Fighting games. But nearly every anime game is an import from Japan so you just have to remember those are popular genre's in Japan.

That I didn't know, but I thought it was the other way around since most of their anime shows take place as an adventure or long "walk" of the stroy line from any given show so to speak which fits perfectly for Rpgs. The longer the story is the more the game would have as content.

Plus, RPGs take longer to translate. Not to mention that most anime just wouldn't work as an RPG, because of the fighting styles.

Developers who make license games are lazy even in Japan. So while RPG's are fairly common they'd probably rather just make a simple fighting or action game.
