Wow thats amazing, i trully hope he does go to college and into the gaming industry.
I don't know if this has been posted before or not, but I found this article really interesting. It's something that I've always kinda wondered about, so it's pretty cool to learn that this kid actually pulled it off.

That's amazing. I wonder how he plays RPGs.![]()
Ehhhhhhh.. I can mash buttons, too.
Sorry but fighting games aren't THAT hard to play, blind or not.

I call bulls**t. You try playing Street Fighter 3: Third Strike against someone who's not even tournament worthy after playing the game for hours and that person will send you holding your balls in pain from the ass kicking they'll give you. People who compete in tournaments have to work the games down to a science; a bloody button masher would never even lay a hit on any of them, and if they did, it's called luck.Originally Posted by Sailor Chibi Otaku

O_O!! Wow!! That's amazing..I may not be into Fighting games much, but i am surely impressed. I'd hate to htink of how badly beaten in a match I'd be against him..
I would imagine it would be with your eyes closed, I'm just kinda confused on how he knows what distance he s from his opponents, unless he uses someone with real long reach like Kilik or something.Originally Posted by Sailor Chibi Otaku

Sometimes you won't be able to see, so you must learn to fight with the help of sound. Not only that, people trained in this way can "see" better then with their eyes open. Besides, he's been blind since birth so his hearing would be greater then most people.
Calm DOWN. It's MY opinion. There was no reason for you to be RUDE.Originally Posted by Kaiser0120

If I were to compete in a tournament and get beaten, I will lose with pride.

Dude. You pretty much said that fighting games are easy and that button mashing is pretty much being good at the game. That's bull. Now you're calling yourself good, but you already downplayed the difficulty of what it really takes to get good in them by making such a comment.Originally Posted by Sailor Chibi Otaku
I wasn't being rude, just blunt. Ignorant comments like, "Fighting games are easy! Button mashers can beat good players! Even blind kids can do it, easy!" That's just crap in the eyes of anyone who's ever gotten actually good in these games.

It's STILL my opinion and I've been playing video games for a hell of a long time. Hell!! Even before a percentage of TZeders were born.Originally Posted by Kaiser0120

I am damn good at fighting games and I won't ever make a scene when I lose. Never did, never will.

Ok, enough is enough!!Pelase guys, n oarguing. It isn't right for any of the other TZer's to say. Let's all be calm, and think this over.
I don't see how that would help unless he's using surround sound.Originally Posted by Kuja's Light

Did I say you'd make a scene? Naw. I'm just saying, you made an ignorant comment, that you can be good at fighting games by button mashing. That's uncool, because I've seen the amount of work it takes to get really good at these games. I'm not even worthy to be a Tournament Scrub, and I've been working for a long time.Originally Posted by Sailor Chibi Otaku
BTW, I'm just giving my opinion. I wasn't trying to attack you personally, I was just saying, tournament scrubs would wipe the floor with button mashers.

I imagine he would have to memorize what sounds each attack makes and then memorize the distance that each attack would fling your opponent. Sounds pretty hard. I one time tried playing Street Fighter II by turning the TV off but keeping the stereo on, so basically I was playing with the audio and no video. It was actually pretty fun. You can kind of sort of tell where you are just by hitting buttons and seeing how the audio responds. But, I couldn't imagine playing blind folded and playing against an opponent who wasn't blind-folded.Originally Posted by Superperson
