    Apparently I Like Fighting Games

    Like This Thread!
While re-organising my collection in preperation of a new sheving unit I realised that quite a few of my PS2 games consist of Fighters

    I got:
    Tekken Tag
    Tekken 4
    DOA2: HC
    Virtua Fighter 4
    Virtua Fighter 4:Evo
    Soul Calibur 2
    Street Fighter Collection

and to a lesser extent, The Bouncer

aside from Guilty Gear and Marvel vs Capcom I have essentialy all the worth-while ones

I also have Mortal Kombat for X-Box and Bloody Roar Primal Fury for GC

strange though I never really considered myself that much of a fan of the genre, granted I got 80-100% of stuff unlocked for the majority of the games, and that's only this generation of systems..

Fighting games are probably my second favorite genre, next to 2D/3D platformers/action games. Anytime there was a fighting game in the arcades, I would run to it. Fighting games I have purchased (some of these I don't own anymore, however):

    Genesis: -Mortal Kombat
    -Mortal Kombat II
    -Ultimate Mortal Kombat III
    -Virtua Fighter 2

    SNES: -Art of Fighting
-Clay Fighter & Clay Fighter Tournament Edition
    -Fatal Fury 1 & 2
    -Fighter's History
    -Killer Instinct
    -Mortal Kombat 1 & 2
-Shaq Fu (don't laugh, it was only $5)
    -Street Fighter 2
    -Street Fighter 2 Turbo
    -Super Street Fighter II
    -TMNT: Tournament Fighters
    -Tuff E Nuff
    -World Heroes 1 & 2

    PS1: -Darkstalkers
    -Darkstalkers 3
    -Dead or Alive
    -King of Fighters '95
    -King of Fighters '99
    -Marvel Super Heroes
    -Marvel vs. Capcom
    -Mortal Kombat Trilogy
    -Samurai Shodown III
    -Soul Blade
    -Street Fighter Alpha
    -Street Fighter Alpha 3
    -Street Fighter Collection 1 & 2
    -Tekken 1-3
    -X-Men vs. Street Fighter

    PS2: -Capcom vs. SNK 2
    -Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore
    -King of Fighters 2000/2001
    -Soul Calibur II
    -Tekken Tag Tournament
    -Tekken 4
    -Virtua Fighter 4

    XBox: -Dead or Alive 3

For whatever reason, I liked MvSF more than MvC1. But MvC2 is the best Capcom fighter in the last few years. To this day, though, I still play Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers. I am getting the collection most likely on XBox, though, as I want to play people online. And speaking of online fighters, is Isuka gonna be online or no?

    Its okay...

I too happen to be a avid Fighting Game fan as well (though I wish I could have a collection like how Speedy Boris does though I do have a pretty decent portion of the games too).

I don't see how you could say that without having at least ONE King of Fighters game. IMO one of (if not THE) best fighting series ever.

    Kyo Kusanagi is my hero.

    Anyway, my favs are:

    King of Fighters series
    Guilty Gear
    Soul Calibur
    Bloody Roar
    Rival Schools
    Killer Instinct
Dark Stalkers 3 (Jedah is SO freakin' cool).
    Last Blade

I recently got to play SF3 for the first time in years, and man, I didn't realize how much I like SF when it actually PROGRESSES. I was so used to them sucking that I put the idea that one could be good anymore out of my mind.

I really like Capcom fighters when they feature NEW characters and fighting styles (Darkstalkers 3, SF3, Rival Schools) and not totally regurgitating the same tired set of oldies and clones of oldies.

Me too. My favorite series is Dead or Alive and then Tekken. Both have excellent stories and characters.
