    Green X-box

    Like This Thread!
I was thinking about buying a X-box since that is the only one of the three systems I don't currently own. I also have to get my parents to buy it for me in the next two weeks before they get my report card. So lets get to the point. While I was searching for an X-box i stumbled onto an ad for a special edition green x-box with halo. Is this cheaper than getting a normal x-box and buying halo separatly. I personally think halo is overrated but i heard it had a a good mulitplayer though. So which is a better purchase?
Keep in mind that I don't really care about halo.

    1) It's fricken green. Nobody really cares about the color since the system is so huge.

    2) It comes with a free copy of Halo. Yet they charge you $30 more than a new X-Box. So it's not really free.

What I love the most about this is people that work for Game Stop or EB want existing X-Box owners to trade in their consoles for this green X-Box.

The answer is simply no. Don't waste your money on it. If you just plain don't like Halo, don't bother. Besides most gaming stores will give you a free X-Box live starter kit with the purchase of a regular X-Box. If not, it's $30 with a brand new game like Counter Strike or Splinter Cell:PT.

One of my friends traded his old xbox in for the new green xbox and he loves it. I personally think he's an idiot for doing it though.

I would go ahead and get the green Xbox. It looks color and they are getting hard to find. Plus it comes with HALO and like you said even if your not a big fan it is still a great multiplayer game. Also like Nin said your going to want to get Xbox LIVE if you have a broadband connection.

If I get the money im going to buy the HALO edition Xbox myself although I already have a regular Xbox. I need another one for modding purposes.

Halo is not over rated. I thought it was too after I played one 3 person vs match. Then I got my own copy and played through single player and had 16 people lanned muliplayer matches. Now I know the glory that is Halo.
