Saw this just now:

Interesting note about "Fox Kids". Presuming it's airing on the "FoxBox", wonder which waste of electromagnetic spectrum and paint-and-ink show that's on it now would be getting the midseason-replacement-boot to make room for the little pink early-80's marketing wonder...

No. This will die quickly, I hope.
Did they have to have an actual girl sing that song? And I see they didn't take my suggestion on the red jeans, either.
The song is peppy, but it[the series] won't stand a chance against the might of Dora the Explorer--not with those silly, badly-drawn animals as sidekicks. Hope they add in more kids with fruit motifs...and the Purple Pieman. [read a SS comic once--actually decent.]
Or better yet, just redo Rainbow Brite instead! I can see RB with color-change hair now.... [goes into american shoujo sparkle mode....] Peter Cullen could use a break from Toonami to be silly. [then again, RB might BE on Toonami if we annoy the higher-ups at CN enough...]
If only SS had kept the big mushroom hat, and went with red jeans--that would have looked cool. Here she just looks like a generic nine-year old girl with a bad hair day wearing a tacky strawberry hat. Little girls[of today] watching this would laugh at her lack of fashion sense and change to Dora or TMNT.
I heard she was going to be making a comeback, but besides this bit of news, all I've seen are the dolls and greeting cards. This isn't much of a surprise though.

Yep, the dolls are out already. I was at the mall last night and spotted them at Hallmark. And they smell like artificial fragrances and plastic... just how I remember them!
And don't worry, Delia97, they look the same.No glitzy crap or tight leather pants with matching brassiere or neon highlights. Just the same ol' berry kids we used to know.

Hmm, Punked-out 'Shortcake in leather pants. Sounds oddly stimulating..... I'd watch that. lol.
ROBO the thread killer !
A Strawberry Shortcake revival???!!!NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
The apocalypse is upon us!!!
And on a side note, what's the difference between Strawberry Shortcake and Rainbow Brite anyway?
Later.... ARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!! Just watched that clip. What's the deal with that awful singing? Well, who am I kidding. They could have Britney sing the theme wearing a strawberry licorice G-string and the show would still suck.

If they're going to bring back our Berry Girl (which I knew they were for quite awhile now), what about Rainbow Brite?! She's 10 times better, no offense to anyone. I miss her the most.
