Those edits are done due to time restraints put on the show for being put in syndication and have been around for years now(atleast on older episodes). They almost never have anything to do with the content being offensive.
Have u notice theyve been editing a lot lately like when they had the killer dolphins Kent said killer Italians but on the halloween marathon they edited it out and also on the one with Homer's hunger stike one of my fav parts it gone the ending part "For I am the mayor of Albuquerque" Damn sensitive Americans![]()
Total slaughter, total slaughter
I won't leave a single man alive
La-de-da-de-di, genocide
La-de-da-de-dud, an ocean of blood
Lets begin the killing time.!

I often watch repeats on Fox, where they cut stuff out all the time. (not quite the same as editing, but just as frustrating, I think) The one that always comes to mind first is the Mr. Plow episode. They always cut out the end of the scene in the bedroom where Homer does his sarcastic "I'm making people happy!" speech. It should end with Homer going out the door, then opening it a crack and saying to Marge "Oh, in case you couldn't tell, I was being sarcastic!" Marge then says "Well, duh!" They always cut that out and it bugs me so much!
I prefer to watch on The Comedy Network, where no cuts are made. I've actually watched some episodes where I've seen things I'd never seen before! It's great! Shame on Fox! Hooray for The Comedy Network!
The one that bugs me the most is in the one where Bush moves in next door and everybody but Homer is sucking up to him. During the scene where Santas Little Helper ditches Homer and runs off, barking, with Bush and the other neighbors who are jogging they always cut off this bit:Originally posted by Good Ol' Batmanuel!

Homer: I guess you could say they're barking up the wrong bush, heh heh.
Homers Brain: There it is, Homer. The cleverest thing you'll ever say and nobody heard it.
Homer: D'oh!
Dang cuts.

The one I miss is in "Last Temptation of Homer" where Mindy and Homer order room service, Fox cut out the next bit where we cut to Burns' office and a red light flashes...
SMITHERS: Sir, someone is charging room service to the company!
BURNS: They are, are they? (pulling a tarp off of a cage, revealing green monkeys with wings) Fly my monkeys, fly!
(The green monkeys step out of the cage, out the window, and plummet to their deaths)
BURNS: Hmmm, back to the drawing board.
Is it my imagination or does it seem like the syndicated Simpson's on Fox cut out the funniest parts?
Damn, I've never even heard of the green monkeys bit from the Mindy episode.
Sky make cuts in the UK. When BBC 2 started showing it as well, I saw scenes that I'd never seen before. 'The Cartridge Family' has never been aired here but is available on video
Can't stand those cuts either, they cut one of the funniest things in the series in fact. Its in the episode when Homer goes to college. He flashes back to when he was at high school and all he had to do was sign a form to automatically get into college, but instead saw a dog with a ham and ran after that to fight him for it![]()
The Lone Gunmen. Harsh Realm. John Doe. Firefly. Boston Public. Wonderfalls. And now MadTV. FOX must DIE!!!!!!
