    Dreamwork TV Animation

    Like This Thread!
With two shows under their belt, Dreamworks TV Animation had some potential. Toonylivia was on Fox and Invasion America on the WB. Yet due to poor ratings for these programs, deals that were broken by Nickodelon for Action programming, and others reasons, they were folded into the Dreamwork Diret to Video side of the company which produced Joseph: Lord Of Dreams prequel to The Prince Of Egpyt .

Does any body think that if Dreamworks TV Animation has continued they would still be successful?

I for one, would say yes and no. Like it's big rival Disney, Dreamworks wants to make sequel to the theathril films too. Take for example, when Antz did really well at the box office, Dreamworks annoucned a sequel for the direct to video market that has yet to appear. I wouldn't be surpisred if they made a traditional animated Shrek series. Of cource Dreamworks did have some creative ideas with their first two shows. I wasn't much a fan of Toonsilyva and I thought Invasion America was okay but not great .

I like and appreciate Dreamworks, but I really disliked both of those shows. They picked poor projects and it cost them and us. Would they have been successful? If they picked more like those two, I'd have to say NO.

As for Antz and Shrek, I'd really rather they not go the Disney route of milking the cow until it's dead.
