    Key word being usually.

If you had heard about How to Train Your Dragon's entire story being scrapped midway through production before it was released, I'm sure you'd think the movie was going to go downhill from there.

Also, that trailer video no longer works. Shame. I really want to see Dracula in motion.

The trailer is no longer available so I can't judge it based on that but it sounds like they have too much going on. It has so many cross-elements that I'm not sure what kind of movie to expect.

Frankenweenie and Paranorman, i did mention them in that same comment.

Anyway i did had a chance to see the trailer and all i can say the animation looks REALLY good, the way the monsters move it has the combination of 2D and 3D, the designs of the characters look good even for Adam Sandler's, really shows Genndy's involment on the movie.

Sorry, I was posting from the university library where I was really supposed to be working, so I just skimmed your post.

Anyway, this stuff is pretty much right up my alley. I'm a monster/horror fan, but I first got into it when I was about 10 years old back in the '90s. During the days of Goosebumps, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Monster in my Pocket and before that Gravedale High. So, I'm someone who leans toward the more family-friendly side of the classic monsters. Can't wait to see the trailers for these movies.

    No worries,

I don't think you will be disappointed with all 3 movies.

Hotel Transylvania: even tho Selena Gomez is in this movie(would have preferred Chloë Moretz or Dakota Fanning to be honest) i will still watch it because i do admit i like Adam Sandler movies and also being a fan of Genndy Tartakovsky i will go watch this movie especially watching the trailer which too bad it didn't last long or else you will see for yourself how well the characters look.

Frankenweenie: I like the original version and the new one show alot of good expectations like Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline and speaking of.

ParaNorman: By the same guys that produced Coraline it's the one that i'm most excited because it's a mix between Monster Squad and The Frighteners not to mention it will have other horror movie reference that will appear in the movie.

    And here's the English trailer.
    http://www.cartoonbrew.com/feature-f...s-version.html

On the pro side, I do like the animation of the giant scene, and Sandler's voice isn't terribly grating so far.

You beat me to it! But that's cool and hope everyone watch the trailer, seriously the animation looks great, as Astrolupine mention the big yeti like monster is my fav scene because the way he moves it's like watching a 2D cartoon in a positive way.

Judging by the most recent comment, hope is still strong that this movie will be good despite Sandler at the head of it all - I hope my hope, especially, is not misplaced!
Tropes that are ruining Western/European Animation (and any animes involving school):
    Spoiler:
    1. Twins and/or Rich Kids as antagonists; Bullies in general. 2. Annoying jerk sibling characters and/or General sibling characters who hate each others' guts. 3. Hidden Caucasian male dominance (usually subverted to be female in anime, which can be equally as bad – and a real turnoff in general!).

The nighttime scenes are very impressive. I noticed they made some changes in the shower scene in this new trailer.

I notice the change in the shower scene but I don't know why they changed it. Some people claim that the original was a "spoiler" but I didn't think so.

Full trailer's up and ready to go.
    http://www.cartoonbrew.com/cgi/trail...nsylvania.html

The humour's pretty 'eh' (well, I liked the armour getting kicked) and Sandberg manages to top Sandler in 'annoying spree'. Still, Genndy's use of timing works well enough and the story looks predictable but fun.

I've never paid to see an Adam Sandler flick before, so I could do a lot worse than this.

I ain't gonna lie. I had my doubts about the movie besides the fact that Genndy was directing it, and that it had nice animation. It didn't look that interesting.

    Then I saw the trailer.

Now I can't wait to see it! The humor, the animation, the fast comedic timing! Felt a little like Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and that's a good thing because that movie was good too!

The animation is definitely classic Genndy in this clip.

Wonder how long into this CGI movie we have until there's a dancing scene.

There's a concert in the film where Dracula's daughter sings with the human. It's probably near the end.

I don't mind, based on that clip, this will be great to watch. I actually replayed it several times to get a look at the great animation. Such strong 2d aesthetics.

Speaking of Dracula's daughter, has it been mentioned that Miley Cyrus departed from working on Hotel Transylvania due to schedule difficulties and Selena Gomez now fills that role? Anyway, with Adam Sandler and Kevin James as the headliners for the movie, we can pretty much forget about Chuck & Larry. My guess is once Hotel Transylvania hits television, after being shown in the movie theaters, either Cartoon Network or ABC Family will air the movie.
Like it or not, I never apologize for being a fan of whomever they may be.
