We know that he does music but never look at him as a singer. Anyway Seth had to realized sooner or later that it will be hard work doing something then another at the same time, it really surprise me that he has 2 other shows working and the music he's doing, you do wonder how he does it if he's really a workaholic or he drinks too much caffeine in his coffe.

If he's doing Cosmos anything like Carl Sagan did Cosmos, he's spent a huge amount of time traveling around the world so he can deliver a seamless dialogue from several continents.
I wonder if it's giving him any material for Family Guy or American Dad.

I'm not really worried about the delay. It's not like this is the first show to be put on hold. Look at how many years Family Guy was off the air.
I'd rather they take their time get it right.

There might be something to being over extended. I think back to when Stone and Parker were complaining about being over extended and those were kind of sucky seasons of South Park.

I can't blame him for wanting to do movies or pursue a music career. You can't depend on those opportunities being there forever and he swings, baby. He swings.

I don't think this show would affect anything on Fox. I think it might air on CN.

I know it's not be the reason but i think Seth Mcfarlane is doing something similar to Trey Parker and Matt Stone, Making shows and be a singer, Parker and stone have a band (DVDA), i wouldn't be surprise if Mcfarlane will try to come up with a play like The Book of Mormons.

Why assume MacFarlane is trying to copy Parker and Stone? Sure they have music as a common interest, but I don't think he's being a copycat.

You'd be wrong....the rights to the Flintstones lie with WB, but Seth was in talks to license them for Fox. It'd air on Adult Swim eventually, so it would technically appear on CN, but I'm not counting that.

But yeah, this makes a season 3 for Bob's Burgers more likely. Yum-o!

I hope when it does get made though, Seth decides to take out the laugh track gimmick. I know some people would keep it in just to make it feel "authentic" or something, but even in the original series, it was still a bad idea to have.

I also never found laugh tracks funny in cartoons, even when shows like Family Guy or Futurama would purposely use them for a joke or a whole episode to poke fun at.

Looks lik the project is on life support at the moment.

Basically, the president of the FOX network liked the pilot script but didn't "love" it. So, he asked MacFarlane either to retool it or focus on the other shows. MacFarlane chose the latter and the Flintstones unit at FOX has been disbanded.

That's bad news for Fox's Animation Domination block. It could really use a shot of ratings adrenaline.

Well I say forget FOX and develop it for Cartoon Network or Adult Swim.

They could always cancel one show and bring back the Flinstones project. Like cancel Family Guy or American Dad .

Yeah, if anything should be cancelled to make this project move forward, if at all, it's Family Guy, or better yet, Cleveland Show - or both is preferable!

Then again, I'm not interested in anything McFarlane has to say or THINKS he can show us!
Tropes that are ruining Western/European Animation (and any animes involving school):
    Spoiler:
    1. Twins and/or Rich Kids as antagonists; Bullies in general. 2. Annoying jerk sibling characters and/or General sibling characters who hate each others' guts. 3. Hidden Caucasian male dominance (usually subverted to be female in anime, which can be equally as bad – and a real turnoff in general!).

Is it the general consensus among "real" fans that Family Guy has run its course? I haven't watched it regularly in years, but it seems that, especially with the Star Wars parodies, the franchise is on its way to becoming the shameless cash cow that The Simpsons morphed into during the mid-90s.

I haven't seen much of Cleveland, but it strikes me as being more than a little derivative.

Now, a Kenshin musical would be great. The opening sequence would play "Freckles" while a young Kenshin slaughters his enemies mercilessly. I mean, there's no way that could backfire.

The Flintstones reboot is on hold?

Good. Leave it there. I'm not sure I would want to see another classic cartoon have it's artistic quality be brought down and degraded by modern digital age animation, especially if it was to look the same as all the other stuff that Seth MacFarlane makes.

In all honestly, there aren't many "real" Family Guy fans on this board who can answer that question. I quit discussing it because the threads just get too negative. But if you ask me, as a fan from the beginning, I think the show is still going strong and does not deserve all the criticism it keeps getting.

I'd have to agree with you there. I think the show is doing fine. It is what is is. I think it's mostly people that want to see it be something else that are unsatisfied.
