The football headed baby, the bad seed himself, Stewie Griffen, apperantly has gone back to his former partner Rupert Murdouch and convinced him to bring back the show where he first made his world conquest efforts known, Family Guy. But Murdoch also brought back all the other characters in the process, so I guess that's Stewie's comuppance for trying to rot our minds again. In any case, Family Guy returns to FOX at 9:30 PM on Wednesday. Well, at least he won't have time to plot against Brain for a while.

Already read about Family Guy's return this week (and seen the first promos for it while watching the local Fox affiliate's weather report tonight)...even read what the first two new eps are about (a two-parter, and a decidedly-up-to-its-usual-standards one: Brian goes to Hollywood to try to break into writing/directing movies, but winds up making...um....not sure it's mentionable on such a forum as this...uh...I'll let Belch fill in the blanks :-)

Yes, after several seasons of my televised antics, an unexpected-and-not-to-be-repeated hiatus, and that little, um, "adventure" of mine in the Stewie City---(hears whispering from off-screen; he frowns) Oh, very well...the *Windy* City---I'm glad to have made a return to the glorious, high-quality airwaves of Fox! Oh, do tune in, won't you? I mean, what's the better program----our show, or that dribble they air on cable? Well, except for maybe the *Powerpuff Girls*---I must say, va-va-*VOOM*! And that Mojo...for a monkey, he'd make a much more formidable would-be-conqueror than that Brain fellow...oh, yes, almost forgot: If you're watching this, Brain, two things to say: 1. (Sternly looks at the camera) I *WILL* be back---do not be fooled into thinking those defeats on Election Day and in Chicago will stop *me* from seeking my revenge! (Dum-dum-dumm....Stewie's eyes do that shifting-back-and-forth thing) Oh, yes, and #2: (Yanks "Family Guy"'s Emmy into the shot, and waves it to the camera) (Tauntingly) Look who's got an *Em-my*...and still has their show on *T-V*.... nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah, *nyah*, *nyaaaah*! (Laughs, as we pull back to see the mice are watching this on TV...or rather, Billie and Pinky are trying to restrain an enraged Brain from hurling the remote at the screen)

BRAIN: (Clawing for the remote) LET GO OF ME! That little insolent *BRAT*! *Grrr*....

BILLIE: (Barely holding Brain back) Eggy! Don't let 'em get to you! He's just trying to get your dander up!

PINKY: (Also barely holding Brain back) Egad, um, maybe you should use Head and Shoulders? POIT!

BRAIN: (Irate) Maybe once I take over the world I should use a *stockade* on that little monster.... (Stops clawing for the remote, and all three collapse in exhaust, panting)

BILLIE: Erm, yeah, I'll make a note of it, Eggy.... (pants)

If only...I'd tune in to watch a batch of that delicious Valencian dish being prepared.
Didn't both The Critic and Married With Children do similar plots--the lead character writes/directs a film that's a total piece of chozzerai, yet grosses well, then he comes to regret it later? Maybe I should be thankful my Fox feed has been irreparably scrambled for weeks now....
As for Brain, I hear he's been hitting the water bottle since the news came out...word is he spiked it with cough syrup (ninety proof)....
