Blog Talkback: Cool Stuff: Un tour de Manège
Un tour de Manège is a beautiful short, full of fluid, luscious color that dances about your screen. In it, a young girl plays on a floating merry-go-round, when suddenly a wind causes the carousel to drift away the from the dock to which it was connected, separating the girl from her mother. The entire short is allegorical in nature, as the girl greets strangers, grows up, meets boys (eerily accompanied by wolves) and then grows old before she's returned to her mother as a child once more. The ambiguous ending begs for another viewing. It's a great piece of work and well worth your time.

Thanks Harley for the awesome animation!
You know what? That independent animation wasn't only great to watch, it was more likely one of the more relaxing animations a guy could ever watch. I felt soothed, calmed, and more importantly, a lot more relaxed after watching that cool... I mean calming animation. Un tour de Manège truly deserves a 5 out of 5 star rating, definitely the most calming animation I ever watched, really.

That was stunning, thanks for sharing Harley!
That scene where she meets the boy had some pretty obvious metaphorical meaning
"People who meddle with secret identities get their memories erased."
-------------
"You murdered your own alter ego? Sounds socially awkward."
