I think they'll take a jab at Justin Bieber at some point.
The second half of the 13th (is it the 13th? i don't really remember!) season is upon us. What controversial events do you think Matt Stone and Trey Parker will think of next? Personally, I have a feeling that there will be an episode where they poke fun of the tourist hostage incident in the Phillipines. My guess is, the boys will witness a tourist bus full of people getting shot down and Randy Marsh will probably take pictures of himself standing next to the bus.
What other controversy in the past few months do you think they will make fun of next?
I think they'll take a jab at Justin Bieber at some point.
Want to hear an animal walks into a bar joke?
Spoiler:
Perhaps the dueling rallies between Beck and Stewart/Colbert will get a mention at some point. They already made fun of Beck's style once, and these events seem right up their alley.
I'm also expecting some Glee parody along the line. I don't know why the show is so popular but the teens here love it.

POKEMON PUZZLE LEAGUE! You know you want to read my review.
Here's my list of what they should make fun of
BP Oil Spill
Lady Gaga's meat suit
Glee
Justin Bieber
Rebecca Javeleau
Inspection (a praise paraody)
All the 3D movies coming out lately
2010 World Cup disallowed goal despite the cameras showing the ball in the net
3D in general
Thats all i can think of right now.
Pretty much the BP oil spill, Inception, and 3D are a given. Heck, I expect at least one episode involving the Tea Party in this batch but probably not another Glenn Beck episode. Especially since they did a good job last year on "Dances With Smurfs" and that caricature of Beck circa 2009 can still apply to the Beck of 2010. Speaking of "already did it recently", I don't think they'll do a parody of The Social Network since they already did a Facebook parody recently; they may do a homage to the trailer, but I doubt it.
However, here are things I want to see them tackle in this batch beyond the ones I already mentioned:
-Halo Reach
-Harry Potter 7 Part 1
-Beiber
-The pending NFL lockout
-The current state of the Denver Broncos (crazy coach, Tim Tebow, etc)
-Jersey Shore

Renaissance.
I'd love another anime parody. That other one from years ago was one of my favorites.
But yeah, BP oil spill, Inception and something Justin Bieber related. Especially Inception. That looks like it could be comedy gold.
-Kamen Rider Decade-"I'm just a Kamen Rider passing through. Better remember me!"
-"Bang"
TOM's final words of Toonami. The proof of what Toonami was aimed for and was meant for. Stay Gold. You will always be first and simply the best.
They'll do whatever is in the news. They always do whatever is in the news. There's no way for us to know without knowing the future.
And stay out of Riverdale!
Well we know what they won't make fun of. I remember reading an interview a few years ago where Trey and Matt talked about how much they didn't want to make a joke about something everyone else already did, when discussing why Bush wasn't portrayed as a bumbling oaf in Cartoon Wars. This could also be used to justify why we never got a Fred Phelps episode.
Yes, there are amazing things up there in the universe, but they’ve got some very stiff competition down here on Earth!

Actually it's the Second half of the 14th season we're getting later this year. Season 13 was last year.Originally posted by tinlunlau

As for what we're getting I'm sure a lot of what is in the news. A part of me also kind of hopes that (considering Matt and Trey admitted to being a fan of it) we finally get a Lost parody this half season. Yeah I know that was a few months back but maybe like "The China Problem" it was something that they wanted to address but couldn't due to not making episodes then and decided to wait to talk about it. Except you know it not being an awful two repeitive joke episode like "The China Problem".
Instead of just using this new signature to celebrate a thousand more post, let me list of all the great things you can expect of me on this board for 2012:
...... The same talkbacks you saw me do last year but with new episodes.
.... What are you doing still reading this? Move to the next post already! .
A part of me really want Stone and Parker to do a spoof of the hostage taking incident in Manila, Phillipines. The fact that their SWAT team was so incompetant and the fact that they had the nerve to take photos in front of the bus for "souvenirs" is just giving the South Park crew something to poke fun of.
The first episode of a run usually recaps what took place during the break (if about current events), but usually after that is just goes literally anywhere.
