Toon Zone Talkback - "Futurama" Gets Syndicated
This is the talkback thread for "Futurama" Gets Syndicated.
No surprise here. It was only a matter of time before it was eligible for syndication. Now it can join other fellow animated shows and reap in the ratings.

From the sounds of it, Futurama will just be on in select markets and not nationwide like Family Guy and the Simpsons.

Keyword: weekend syndication. That's not much. It's the same deal American Dad got.
That 30% should grow, though. Hopefully.

Also was a similar deal the Simpsons got in some smaller markets that opted to only air the show on weekends (vs weekdays) when the Simpsons went into syndication in the mid-90s. Recall being annoyed at only getting to see the syndicated version once a week back then...

The more Futurama I can get, the better.

Guess now we can start speculating about what'll get cut for time. For starters, ever since I first saw "When Aliens Attack", I've had a strong suspicion that Zapp briefing the troops about bed-making wouldn't live to see syndication.
