    MiB Help Needed

    Like This Thread!
There's a guy on the mailing list I host that needs the MiB episode title for one which featured Michael T. Weiss (The Pretender) as the voice of an alien ambassador "who had a
daughter that if she didn't take this liquid daily on earth she'd age real fast". (He's a fan of Weiss's work and doesn't want to miss the ep the next time it airs.)

Can anyone help to match the ep title with this cartoon? It's kinda hard to ID them when all the titles end in "Syndrome". And I can't help at all since I haven't seen any shows past the 2nd season (thanks to WGN and Time-Warner Cable).

Here's our TZ list of titles, if it helps.

    http://www.toonzone.net/shows/episodes/mib.html

Also, can someone please catch me up with the future of MiB? I know this is the 4th and final season it will be on KWB (ending this weekend actually), but is it going into syndication this fall? Is CN picking it up? Will the networks all drop it like a man with big oak fingers?

I was not aware that men with big oak fingers were prone to getting dropped.

It's a Roddy McStew quote from "Freakazoid" - don't blame me if it's grammatickerly incorrect.

It's ep.#314, The Baby Kay Syndrome, original air date March 25, 2000.

It's not grammatically incorrect, per se...just grammatically awkward.

Oooh, let's have a grammar debate! *THAT'LL* spice things up!

The episode you're thinking of is "The Baby Kay Syndrome," from season 3. Here's an episode summary:

The new leader of a terrorist race of aliens called Stellairians wants to embark on a new era of peace and comes to Earth for negotiations ... bringing along his spoiled teenage daughter. The Stellairians age rapidly in Earth's atmosphere - about 100 years in a day - so Kima is reminded to take her hypo-spray, located on a chain around her neck. Kay and Jay are assigned baby-sitting duty, and take Kima to the mall - where a group of Frostifarian kidnappers (who had their icy planet scorched by Skon) create a diversion and nab Kima. During the chase, her hypo-spray comes loose and accidentally exposes Kay to the anti-aging serum. As a result, he begins to regress at a rapid rate - going from adult Kay, to a 12-year-old, to a three-year-old toddler, and finally to a baby. In his infant form, Kay ... along with Jay ... must find Kima before she becomes too old and dies, and before her father Skon blows up the planet, as he threatens if his daughter is not returned safely.

PS - just wanted to say hello to everyone here. It's my first day on the board! ^_^

Thanks for the swift help, Nftnat and Avran. It's much appreciated.

And thanks for going the extra mile, Avran, and taking the time to type an episode summary. I think you'll fit in here just fine.

We were in need of someone to help do a Toon Zone section for MiB (since there's a serious dearth of info and material on the web for it), and I really hope you'll consider helping us out. We need someone to write episode summaries and reviews - from a faithful viewer of the show.

I would be, but like I said, I haven't seen any eps past the 2nd season. And i don't have a working VCR to write reviews and ep summaries for the shows I taped.

If you're interested, please let me know and we'll get back with you when we're ready to start working on the MiB fan section of Toon Zone (which i've already tentatively named "Division 6").

I can't believe there isn't a single decent fan resource for the show - with the popularity and ratings it's earned, you'd think there'd be at least *one* definitive fan site to come about in 4 seasons of the show. (If there is one, I haven't found it.)

BTW, did you know Infogrames is releasing the first MiB console game this fall? It's true. It's gonna be based on the animated series too:

    http://www.infogrames-expo.com/pages..._c.asp?jeu=220

And for game details and images:

    http://www.infogrames-expo.com/pages..._c.asp?jeu=198

    It's a first-person shooter - WOO-HOO!

I would love to help out with your "Division 6" MiB section - thanks for asking! ^_^ Just send me an e-mail or IM (my handle is in my profile) with the details of what you need, and when you'd like it by.

Yes, it really is quite a shame that there aren't many pages on MiB. I was thinking of writing up episode summaries for a page of my own, but I haven't put anything up, and I think I'll devote my time to helping with your section.

Oh, there is one MiB fan site that I know of, done by a friend of mine, Delia. She has scans from the comics, screenshots from the cartoon, information on the amusement ride, video games, etc.:

    http://members.tripod.com/delia97/

And there is a section of MiB fan fiction at FanFiction.net, under their movie section:

    http://www.fanfiction.net/sections/m...categoryID=126

And yes, I have heard about the video games. Delia was kind enough to post information about it to the MiB mailing list I run:

The tapes were put out a couple of years ago or so. They only put out three tapes, with two episodes per tape:

Vol. 1: The Long So-Long Syndrome & The Irritable Bow-Wow Syndrome

Vol. 2: The Neuralyzer Syndrome & The Elle of My Dream Syndrome

Vol 3: The Alpha Syndrome & The Inanimate Syndrome

A box set with all three tapes was also released. You can find them on Amazon.com. Unfortunately, they haven't put out any more tapes from the cartoon.

They were released in '98. I've seen copies for sale at Target and K-Mart where I live, but I hadn't bought them yet hoping they might be released on DVD (I haven't bought anything on video since around '98). But with the series ending, the only hope for it now is that they'll get a DVD release when MiB2 goes to theatres (like they're doing with Ralph Bakshi's "Lord of the Rings" this fall to coincide with the theatrical release of the LOTR movie in December).

We have an MiB video page in the TZ store section:

Thanks, we appreciate the help. I think we're about to start a project on an animated DVD section for TZ, but hopefully we can get around to MiB soon.

I found Delia's site shortly after posting my message above. It's a nice little fan site, offering a heckuvalot more content than most sites I've found do (which offer little more than an episode list).

I also found 1 other page with a decent amount of material which also appears to have some sort of official connection to the MiB movie and animated series. But it covers only the first season of the show - looks like a project that had good intentions at first and then fell into neglect:

    http://www.iproject.net/oldWFH/menin...ies/index.html

And there is a section of MiB fan fiction at FanFiction.net, under their movie section:

    http://www.fanfiction.net/sections/m...categoryID=126

The first time I received an inquiry for MiB fanfics, I checked fanfiction.net and they didn't have anything at the time. Looks like they've gotten some contributions since then. Thanks for the link.

And yes, I have heard about the video games. Delia was kind enough to post information about it to the MiB mailing list I run:

    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MIB-TheSeries
I came across the ign.com page in my google.com search, but unfortunately it didn't offer any useful details on the game. Infogrames site has a full list of game specs and actual game images. And that's what we really wanna see anyway.

And I also joined your mailing list (after reviewing it at dmoz.org - again, sorry it took so long to get it added to the directory). Dunno how much I'll be able to contribute since I've missed 2 seasons of the show, but I'll lurk at any rate.

Hi Delia. Thanks for visiting - and feel free to join in the discussion. As I mentioned above, I think you have a neat little site going there. On behalf of MiB fans everywhere (especially those of the animated series), we thank you for devoting your time to offering a resource for fans.

    Thanx!

It's hard to be a fan of a show that you dont get in your area and it's been my suffering since the show began. Maybe someday MIB will be back and I can see it.

I've added scans of the Game Boy games, books, cartriges (for overly photo-addictive people) and even a scan of the cover of the sheet music for MIB theme on piano.

He's the amazing one who nabs those awesome images and sends em to me and then uses em to tell me what happened in episodes LOL
