Let's discuss the new KWB season!

    Like This Thread!
Seriously...I know it looked bad a few months ago, but I'm in a good mood, and maybe it looks better if we take another look. Can anyone post a full list of the new shows for next season?

I mean, there must be other new shows to discuss other than the occasional bashing of Yugi-Oh...

Eh. "Mummy" has been kidified, "Nightmare Room" is more slog from R.L. Stine, "Cubix" sounds like yet another Pokemon, and "Sherlock" and "Rescue Heroes" were long cancelled by Fox and CBS. Bleh. There might be a surprise in there, but I seriously doubt it.

Cubix is CGI, isn't it? That's not very Pokemon to me.

Samurai Jack looks interesting. I would enjoy seeing that on KWB, since I don't get CN.

I already saw Sherlock Holmes on Fox, and Rescue Heroes...ahh...well, the age target seems lower than even KWB's usual demographic.

That Mummy description does not sound anything like the source it was based on.

    Okay, how about Fox Kids?

Any news? I think they have a new season lined for Fall.

I have the first 12 episodes from season three of Digimon on video. I have to say it reminds me a bit of both Pokemon and CCS... Also, it's the same writer as Big O in Japan.

I'll find the press release later, but I know they have a cartoon spin off of EVOLUTION coming, as well as the anime TRANSFORMERS. I'll find the rest later.

Ugh...Transformers Car Robots...I saw that on a bootleg VCD...it sucks...real bad. Three words for anyone who was even remotely interested: Cute. Kid. Sidekicks.

I think the failure of Escaflowne proves that anime targeted at an older audience (say, 8 and up) just don't fly. The lesson networks are "getting" is the junk sells.

On the other hand, Escaflowne was snipped and edited real badly, so it deserved the ratings it got.

    Cute kid sidekicks? Arrrrrrrgh!

Actually, Fox Kids will supposedly be airing John K's Ripping Friends series... finally. (John K. is the nut behind the first two seasons of Ren and Stimpy, if you didn't know.) That's just about the only Saturday morning toon I'm actively looking forward to.

The Mummy, I loved the mummy. I loved the Mummy Returns. And just since I'm a fan, I'll probabaly watch The Mummy cartoon. Doesn't mean I'll enjoy it. Kiddified stuff sucks.

Nightmare Room..ooo..how'd they get that title past the tv censors?!

Just to clarify, Cubix is a CGI pokemon. To those who said "Cubix is CGI, isn't it? That's not very Pokemon to me.", well..it's a CGI pokemon, how does that sound?! fun!....not really..

Yu-Gi-Oh..I'll watch it till it sucks hard...which will probably be after the first 10 miniuts..

apparently "Rescue Heroes" is going to become more "adult".....while they make everythijng else Kiddy?! What the...??

    Oh well, As for Fox..

Evolution: The animated series. It should be really good in my opinion..although the characters have uniforms now..and Harry has Dreds...but I think it'll be good.

Transformers RID: Seriously, this show is childish. With Kiddy sidekicks, the robots themselves act goofy from time to time. The American writers said they're trying to "beef it up". I say, good luck. But really, the toys are great, so...I suggest just buy the toys, and only say you watch the show, I wana get the original optimus to America!!!!

The Rippin Friends!!! This will be the best show ever. But, I fear it'll have to be "Kiddified" for Fox Kids. AHH! NO!!! I loved Ren & Stimpy's 3rd grade humor...But hey, They got "He-Mom" past the censors, so..it should be good.

That's my word on things. Also expect "Slayers" to premier on Fox Kids sometime this year....Have you seen that show? Aside from the boob jokes.....

My tremendous intuitive sense of the female creature informs me that you are troubled...

I've been looking forward to this since-- gosh, it seems like since I was a little boy. Didn't they announce this like 4 years ago? I've been wondering if it premiered, got cancelled, and disappeared, all while I wasn't looking. Glad to hear it is still being spoken of in the future tense and not the past.

When is it supposed to premiere, anyway?

It was supposed to premiere last season. It was even all over their website. An episode will premiere during the comicon in July. The show is schedule for this fall. It will be 100% than the rest of the FK season.

Kids WB has really gone kiddy, huh? I think the only one I'll get up for is Jackie Chan. I'll prolly also watch x-men since i'll prolly be up by then anyway. And I think I'll check out samurai jack, sounds interesting. otherwise... bleh.

Yeah, both schedules sound pretty bad. Nothing really to look forward to. Hopefully, i'll be surprized.

As for RID, don't be too hard on it. I don't think the producers really wanted to make it. At a Transformers sight i go to, i found out what i think is up w/ this show: Hasboro needed more Transformers merchandise; American fans always saw American versions (mostly BW) going to Japan, so they wanted to see their version; the writers can't do much w/ the script they imported from Japan. They make it completely goofy, and we can't change too much about that over here.

Looks like the only Kids WB show I will watch next season is POKEMON: JOHTO LEAGUE CHAMPIONS. At least there is one Kids WB show out there for me.

I've liked what I've seen so far. Dodgy dodgy dodgy. Like a martial artist whose close friendship with his pokemon, a"Jynx" pre-evolution, is freaking out his manager.

A human-Jynx romance? Is peanut butter involved? >8D

Johto Champions may be the high point of my Saturday morning, esp. if they'll do another Jessy-focused episode. I'm waiting for them to just wrap that girl up in a straitjacket, drop her in the nut barn, feed her Prozac smoothies, and be done with it.

Cubix is going to be a CGI piece of chozzerai thats so cheaply done it'll make Max Steel look like Shakespeare...I've despised R.L. Stine since Goosebumps (that show had a cutesy little rating disclaimer at the beginning that was the predecessor, and possibly the inspiration for, the hated TV ratings system)...I want to see what they'll do with Jackie Chan, esp. with Tohru as an ally now....I'll watch X-Men: Evolution just to see if the scripts improve; what I'd like to see is Forge coping with his parents possibly dead after 20 years and trying to figure out modern technology....I should probably watch both Mummy movies so I'll be up to speed on the series.

Again I paraphrase Triumph the Insult Comic Dog: "It's a wonderful new fall schedule...for me to poop on!"

    The whole "Jynx"/human guy affair...

    1. It's not a "Jynx". It's the pre-evolution, Muchuru(don't know the US name. Surprised? ). So any romantic relationship would be bordering on not only bestiality but pedophilia as well.

    2. This guy enjoys washing dishes with Muchuru, getting comforted by her after being teased by the girls in ballet class... It's more likely that the martial artist guy's bald manager was worried that a baby pokemon would hurt the act's popularity with girls. And it comes close to both ruining his career and giving tv viewers like me the wrong idea.
